@Law_and_Econ @OKDemocrats Good point. I’d call them *actual* Rinos.
English

@YallPac @OKDemocrats Do you count Leslie Osborn? Joy?

Lost statewide in 2014.
Lost statewide in 2022.
Trying again in 2026.
If at first you don’t succeed, try try again, right?

Governor, only Betas are intimidated in the presence of Alphas.
English

@KendalforOK @mncoffeegal Wha about the Feds going after voter data?
English

@coldorangina Chip Keating is a chip of the ol' block: a first degree RINO just like his father. Don't elect another RINO, Oklahoma.
English

Chip Keating is hands down the best candidate for Oklahoma Governor. It’s not even close if you pay attention. Vote smart people! Don’t be gaslit by the politicians trying to reinvent themselves. Chip has energy, sincerity and a real grasp of the issues. Go meet him in person! 🇺🇸

@truthdarlin @shanejett How are they clutching their pearls and virtue signaling?
English

@YallPac @shanejett No, why would you say that? She seems much more normal than all these men who are clutching their pearls and virtue signaling their way through this race.

@shanejett This is ridiculous. Lisa Haines should be on that stage but typical men ignore her. So far she seems like the only decent choice. These guys are pansies when they won’t even let a woman on stage.
English

@YallPac amendments to the Constitution, two of which are term limits and a balanced budget. 20 states are on board so far. Senator Dr Tom Coburn was instrumental in getting the whole COS movement off the ground. Since the Tribes vote in all OK elections, they have not been excluded.
English

How does this exclude democrats and tribes? Tribal members and democrats vote in every legislative election!
The Oklahoman@TheOklahoman_
The Oklahoma House passed a resolution for a constitutional convention. But the proposed plan excludes tribes and non-Republicans, critics say. oklahoman.com/story/news/pol…

@JSWindsor19 @wesserbald @MarcGoldwein @GreenPlusAnE @AA_Millsap @RominaBoccia @econwonk @MayaMacGuineas @JessicaBRiedl @RyanLEllis Limiting government spending is not communism. The opposite.
Social security is not a savings plan.
Social security is far more costly than European “socialist” pensions.
English

@wesserbald @MarcGoldwein @GreenPlusAnE @AA_Millsap @RominaBoccia @econwonk @MayaMacGuineas @JessicaBRiedl @RyanLEllis Because they’re communists
English

It’s time to limit Social Security benefits to $100,000 per year.
Like or Retweet if you agree.

@AStuttaford @RyanLEllis @MarcGoldwein @GreenPlusAnE @AA_Millsap @RominaBoccia @econwonk @MayaMacGuineas @JessicaBRiedl (1) “portrayed” as savings scheme even though it’s not.
(2) the alternative is an existential crisis for the country.
English

No, but capping something that was *portrayed* as a savings scheme on a basis that will hit those who paid the most into it certainly is. That this group will probably have paid the most in general taxation only makes it worse. Also is it proposed that the $100k be inflation adjusted? I've heard different answers!

Imagine being an adult in 2026 and believing in demons. Holy shit.

@hage8675309 @YallPac @hell_line0 Roe was wrongly overturned. The plain text of the Constitution supports a woman's right to abort.
English

@ArtCandee Marie Antoinette wasn’t executed until 1793 and two regimes after the 1789 government.
English

@EdwardFrancisJ4 @hage8675309 @hell_line0 Yes, but you’ve said no one has the right to anyone’s body.
If a parent refuses to feed an infant, the parent is charged with murder.
Are you in favor of changing this?
English

@EdwardFrancisJ4 @hage8675309 @hell_line0 Yes it does. Without nursing from a woman or feeding from another the infant will die.
English

@YallPac @hage8675309 @hell_line0 No, an infant doesn't rely on the body of a specific human being. A fetus does. That's the difference.
English

@EdwardFrancisJ4 @hage8675309 @hell_line0 Wait a minute, infants must rely on the bodies of adults to survive. Does this permit infanticide?
Can a parent choose to starve their kid to death because they have no obligation to use their body?
What’s the limiting principle here?
English

@hage8675309 @hell_line0 I am not discriminating against the unborn.
NO ONE has the right to use another person's body without that person's consent.
Give up your war on women.
English

@ymdub58 @heyitkb @ShawForOK …power to lobbyists and special interest because we turn over 1/4 of the legislature every year etc
English

@ymdub58 @heyitkb @ShawForOK …since the 30s.
Our court has no case and controversy requirement, etc.
We elect too many bureaucrats - auditor, insurance commission, utility commissioners (corp comp)
Our legislative committee process is a joke.
Our terms limits have handed over…

The House passed HJR1089 at 12:03am on Thursday this week. If it passes the Senate, this will go to a vote of the people to approve an Oklahoma state Constitutional Convention. We’re supposed to have these every 20 years but the last time it was even voted on whether to have it or not was in 1970. 🗳️📜
I voted No, along with only a few other Republicans, because the framework being designed for this convention would only allow for the 149 state House and Senate members (a/k/a politicians) to be the official delegates to the convention.
If you agree our political system is broken, and that the majority of the legislature are simply rubber-stamp approvals for leadership that do NOT have your best interests at heart; then this should deeply concern you.
If our state constitution has the ability to change, even a little, through this process; I assure you the people of Oklahoma will get the short end of the stick if they get anything at all.
When I asked why this couldn’t also include members of the public and not just legislators, I was met with an answer that in part said “we’re elected officials, not just random people someone picked." 🧐
