Circle shipping permissioned agent infrastructure is the right move. But if we're giving agents wallets, then we need to define how those wallets can be constrained.
The design question that actually matters in agentic finance:
→ not can the agent move capital
→ but can the permission be revoked mid-flight
→ inspected on-chain
→ bounded at the protocol layer, not just the app layer
Policy-layer guardrails fail at scale. Architecture-layer constraints don't.
Industry is converging on this fast. The primitives that survive will be the ones where agent authority is legible by default.
If guardrails live in a policy doc and not a contract, they're not guardrails.

AI agents managing your capital need authority to act, makes sense.
But most frameworks give them too much access, like API keys and broad permissions, but with no real enforcement of what they can and can't do. 😬
Ymax is built on Agoric's object-capability model. If an agent were to act on your portfolio, its authority is scoped, revocable, and enforced on-chain. Not promised in a terms of service.
