I just got home from Hard Rock Stadium. One of the worst parts about tonight: as @ManagerTactical and I stood around watching "fans" bum-rush the entrances, scale walls, and crawl through vents to get into the stadium, we talked to a couple of mom's and dad's who were there with their young kids. Around 8:30/8:45pm ET, the gates were "opened" and thousands of fans stampeded into the stadium. Stadium staff didn't even attempt to check tickets, and there was legitimately no security. Crazy as it sounds, it seemed as though they were told to let in a bunch of people just so the stadium would fill out for TV, and then arbitrarily close the gates once they felt they had let enough people in and that was that — our tickets no longer mattered. What was so awful about this besides the obvious was none of those fans with young kids were comfortable going inside, even if they were given the opportunity to. I can live with missing the game tonight as I work in sports (@ACMomento) and have been lucky enough to attend games of this magnitude before but cannot begin to imagine having to explain to my kid why we couldn't go inside and instead have to leave and listen to the game on the car ride home. CONMEBOL and whoever else had a hand in organizing this tournament and the Final in particular should be deeply ashamed of themselves for this reason and countless more. It is an absolute disgrace that this game was not postponed. #CopaAmérica

We laid my Grandfather, John Ohanian, to rest yesterday. “Great Grandpa” (to Olympia & Adira) was a man whose journey of 101 years (one month away from 102!) was a testament to resilience, dedication, and the enduring power of family. Born into the aftermath of the Armenian Genocide, his early years were marked by immense challenges. His parents, survivors themselves, instilled in him a deep sense of self-reliance and the importance of family. These lessons would become the cornerstone of his life. He was from a generation that was built different, forged in the fires of the recession, inspired to enlist in the US Army to fight in WWII, he ultimately earned a law degree thanks to a GI Bill at William & Mary.

He had a great career in the law, fighting on behalf of a wide range of Americans, but I really got to learn about this side of him during a @Reddit AMA ten years ago. I brought him onto Reddit for one of our site's famous AMAs and transcribed his crowdsourced interview with millions of redditors. I learned a lot about him from this experience. He didn't think anyone would be interested in his life. It was one of our most popular that year. We finished and he asked me “when does it start?” He loved it, he was just vibing out like we'd been having a conversation, a grandpa telling his grandson about his life. 
Self-reliance was a hallmark of my Grandfather, and I’m grateful for it. Grandpa, I know the road you walked wasn’t easy, but it has carried us through 3 new generations of Ohanians, achieving opportunities your parents, who endured a nightmare in their youth, could’ve only dreamed of. 🇺🇸🇦🇲💪

Biggest hiring lesson for start ups I learned: Be very careful when you hire fancy execs from big companies. They often can’t deliver results under constrained resources. What makes you successful in a big company is very different than what makes you successful in a start up.

Man! I just wasted 1h15 at a @WellsFargo branch to open a biz account, to be told I need to provide the original certificate of incorporation of my Cie. I said no It’s a waste of time. Walked into a @ChaseSupport branch, spoke to the manager and walked out 12min later with a 🤝
