WHAT WE KNOW: An individual, whose identity remains undisclosed, has provided information indicating that Mazwi was abducted by occupants of a white Corolla lacking a visible registration plate. It has been alleged that a Pakistani national, who previously operated a tuck shop, was requested to vacate the premises by the landlord. Following their refusal, the landlord reportedly ask the community members to facilitate their eviction before Mazwi moved into the tuckshop to run his business. Upon inquiry by the sister to individuals and friends frequenting the tuck shop, it was revealed that an individual named Zulu had been pressuring Mazwi to sell his tuck shop to "Pakistanis." Mazwi had consistently declined these requests, as he did not understand the motivation behind the persistent requests to divest ownership of the tuck shop. A missing person’s case was opened on the 05th of April @SAPoliceService @Abramjee

Ziyanda is discoursing the politics of marginalisation, intersectionality and desirability. ALL black women experience marginalisation due to their race and gender. Darker skinned women experience an additional layer of harm via colourism. Her observation is that few light skinned women use their online platform to discuss the plights of black women. Those who choose to keep quiet, are probably doing so to preserve the limited desirability society has allocated them. And she’s not wrong for framing desirability in the context of the “male gaze” because it IS patriarchy and misogyny that dictate global beauty standards. Regardless of why light skinned women choose silence, it is UNFAIR for them to disengage because they WILL benefit from any liberation that comes from darker skinned women having these difficult conversations. We all know silence is complicity. Why did some people expect Ziyanda to use gentleness to describe acts of violence she’s been subjected to for her ENTIRE life?
