I interviewed a senior dev today. He wanted a $250k salary. I gave him a complex system design task. He had 30 minutes. He started drawing diagrams on the board and talking about scalability. I just opened a prompt. I fed it the requirements. I had the full boilerplate and unit tests in 15 seconds. I turned the monitor around. I asked him: Why would I pay you $250k when I just did your month's work for 2 cents? He didn't even answer. He just packed his bag and walked out. If you can’t outperform an API, you aren't an engineer. You’re just an expensive liability.

You can say Michael Carrick is chasing short-term results and a UCL spot, but it’s clearly “results over process” with no proper long-term plan. If he gets the job permanently, the OOP structure and fitness levels have to improve. We only just had that solidity under Rúben Amorim. Whoever’s in charge needs to bring back elite pressing, or this level of defending will get us embarrassed every week in the UCL.

I'm 22 years old and Claude Code is deteriorating my brain. Every single day for the last 6 months I've had 6 to 8 Claude Code terminals open, waiting for a response just so I can hit 'enter' 75% of the time. And it's doing something to me. In convos with a couple of friends, it's been a point that's been brought up pretty frequently. None of us feel as sharp as we used to. I don't know if it's just us, or others in their 20s are feeling the same thing, but it's something I've been thinking about a lot. P.S. I know this is a problem with my reliability/usage of it, not Claude Code itself, but the effects are real nonetheless
