We will institute an action in court against UNN if the demand is not met by Wednesday. The conditions of students in the hostels are very terrible. Extremely dirty, bed bugs everywhere, too many loose wires, dirty bathrooms, broken windows and thieves invasion. It must stop!

Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani
Scammers are stealing homes from New Yorkers — and Black and Brown homeowners are being targeted the most. We're launching the Mayor's Office of Deed Theft Prevention, led by Director Peter White, to defend vulnerable homeowners. And we are pausing the tax lien sale for the next six months as we review and fix a broken system. We are using every tool at our disposal to help New Yorkers stay in their homes in the city we love.

You have a business Your sales are at 53% of the target Your overdraft is at 153% of the target In what world does a bank lend you more money? I want a banker to make the case of how Nigeria qualifies for more $ loans, when it's a largely sole source $ earner not meeting its own revenue targets
Kalu Aja@FinPlanKaluAja1

For FY 2025, the FGN has released only two quarters. The pattern is similar, revenues target not met, high expenditure target met, and debt service target exceeded. Debt service is a subset of expenditure. The government continues to argue that some capital projects are multi-year and will be completed later, but the consistent underperformance of capital releases year after year raises serious questions about budget credibility and priority-setting.

FCCPC Enforcement Team Seals Abuja Supermarket Over Pricing Irregularities, Expired and Suspected Counterfeit Products The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has carried out an enforcement operation at a supermarket in Guzape, Abuja, following consumer complaints about irregular pricing practices. During the inspection, the Commission identified several potential consumer protection violations, including differences between shelf prices and checkout prices, products displayed without price tags, expired products offered for sale, improper storage of perishable items, and suspected counterfeit products, including rice, which were confiscated. Following the findings, the supermarket was sealed pending further regulatory action. The FCCPC reminds businesses that consumers are entitled to transparent pricing, safe products, and fair treatment at all times. The Commission will take appropriate regulatory action after a full review of the findings. Members of the public are encouraged to continue reporting suspicious, deceptive, or unfair market practices. @NigeriaGov @NGRSenate @HouseNGR

@TonamiPlayman Most of the metro built in China where built in places with little or no development to secure cheap land for future development. Eventually the rail corridor will be developed and the land value will already be captured.

Actually probably not a bad idea for German businesses to think about installing plants in Afghanistan. I checked and their electricity is USD 0.1 per kWh (less than half that of Germany) and their energy mix is surprisingly green with 75% hydro (globalpetrolprices.com/Afghanistan/el…)! Ironically the Talibans have built a greener grid than the Germans themselves 😅

It was an unusual encounter last Saturday at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, where our Chairman Michael Schumann met with Nooruddin Azizi, Afghanistan’s Minister of Industry and Commerce. Germany and Afghanistan are linked by a long-standing relationship spanning more than a century. For decades, Germany was an important partner in Afghanistan’s modernization; after 2001, it also became a key actor in reconstruction. Today, little remains of this engagement - despite the fact that well over 400,000 Afghans live in Germany and maintain ties to their country of origin. The reality in Afghanistan is challenging: more than 20 million people depend on humanitarian assistance, the economy is fragile, the banking system constrained, and investment scarce. For understandable reasons, Germany has largely withdrawn politically and now focuses on humanitarian aid delivered through international organizations. But is that enough to sustainably improve living conditions on the ground? Humanitarian assistance alleviates hardship, but only economic development creates lasting prospects. At the same time, other countries are pursuing a more pragmatic approach. China is cautiously yet deliberately engaging in infrastructure and resource projects, while Uzbekistan is systematically expanding economic cooperation. Initiatives such as the planned Trans-Afghan railway highlight the region’s tangible potential. We should not ignore these developments. Viewing Afghanistan solely through the lens of security or migration falls short. Identifying economic projects that remain feasible even under difficult conditions - and that directly benefit the population - places people at the center and demonstrates responsibility. Germany has the experience, the capabilities, and a unique historical connection to make a constructive contribution. It is in our own best interest to seriously reassess these opportunities. #BWA #Germany #Afghanistan #Development #Migration #Stability #AntalyaDiplomacyForum #ADF2026 #Meet4Diplomacy

At this rate I won't be surprised to see an African Kristallnacht happen in Durban or Cape Town. ... And it will be their greatest undoing. Because when the Oyibo-controlled media has finished giving them enough rope to fit around their own necks, the same Oyibo will come and kick the stool from under them. They will demonize South Africa. If 5 Zimbabweans get their Jaws broken in a random brawl in Soweto, CNN and Fox News will say they burned 50 of their fellow Africans alive. They will isolate them from the rest of the continent. So when a US aircraft carrier sails on the cape of good hope to "stop the violence" or "prevent white genocide", South Africa will have no friends north of Limpopo. It's almost destiny at this point. The colonizers have and will NEVER forgive their ooga booga neighbors for forcing them to give up many privileges (even though they still call most of the shots behind the scenes) But then again, it's not too surprising because these kom kom heads are EXACTLY what you get when your "revolutionary" leader is a Mandela and not a Mao or even a Sankara. He didn't redistribute land like Mao did. He didn't send enough of the colonizers and uncle Toms to the gallows. He didn't even properly nationalize key industries at gunpoint. All the poor, melanated shanty-town residents got were kabuki theaters like the Truth and Reconciliation Commission... A useless farce that achieved fuck all except entertainment on TV when people got to scream and cry and yell at each other. The land remained in the hands of the colonizers. The Oppenheimers still run the show. The Stellenbosch networks are alive and kicking. ... And the South African state STILL does not have full control of the means of production. But.... like their obstinate cousins from West Africa, most of these Mamelodi Sundown niggas don't care for nuance or thinking in systems. As long as they get to harass their marginally less impoverished Nigerian or Zimbabwean neighbor, they are fulfilled. Olodos.

💢 BREAKING | Israeli settlers shoot dead a 14-year-old student and a 32-year-old man at a West Bank school, with Israeli forces providing protection Israeli settlers opened fire on Al-Mughair Boys School in the village of Al-Mughayyir, east of Ramallah, on Tuesday afternoon, killing a 14-year-old student, Aws Hamdi Al-Naasan, and a 32-year-old man, Jihad Marzouq Abu Naim, and wounding three others with live bullets, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA and the Ministry of Health. A paramedic at the scene said at least three settlers deliberately fired at children attempting to escape from classrooms from a position approximately 50 meters away, with a level of accuracy he described as close to sniping. An eyewitness said shooting was directed at classroom windows and balconies still full of children as residents attempted to evacuate the school by crawling. Israeli forces arrived during the attack and, according to witnesses, provided protection to the settlers rather than stopping them. A 63-year-old man, Attallah Abu Aliya, said he was shot in the leg by an Israeli soldier without warning as he walked toward the school after hearing it was under attack. Their deaths bring the West Bank toll to four killed on Tuesday alone, after a 16-year-old boy was run over by a settler's vehicle in Hebron and a 49-year-old woman died from injuries sustained in an Israeli army shooting in Jenin.
