In 2003, Bank of America forced its IT workers to train their H-1B replacements or lose their severance. On April 17, Kevin Flanagan was let go after seven years at the bank. He never left the parking lot. His father Tom gave one interview. "He knew for a year that Bank of America was dumping programmers and tech people, and he knew it was coming. And he knew people from India were brought into his building and trained to do his job and sent back to New Delhi." In 2024 they laid off more than 10,000 American workers across technology and back-office divisions. The same year they filed 790 new H-1B visa applications.

NEW: a reader writes in to expose Indian-fueled incompetence at Pentagon Federal Credit Union, inspired by my reports on USAA. He describes how PenFed has made basic banking transactions a needless pain: "I simply cannot download transactions to a CSV file from the PenFed website. I rarely perform this action but when I do, I expect it to work. So, a couple of months ago, I try to do so. It gives me a very specific error that any IT person who knows what they are doing would know it's a backend server/database/etc. issue. I called PenFed and opened up several tickets, via customer service, followed up several times, they closed the tickets, they said they were fixed, they ran me around this that and the other. All of which I know, whoever is getting these tickets on the IT side has actually no idea what they are doing, as it's scary. These people handle our money! Still, today, same issue. I have given up. I've wasted several hours on the phone with PenFed, they can't escalate. They can't actually have me speak with a technical person. It's all very obfuscated between me, as the end-user, and their incompetent IT people. Next step, I am simply going to drop a letter in the mail to everyone and their brother that I can find over there that is higher up. This is nonsense. This is the new IT culture all of the C-level people have created." Also monitor neighborhoods with frequent multiple-adult traffic in/out of homes, and groups of 4–5 adults visiting Costco !!
