Ethan King went into cardiac arrest while on a run during his first week of college. No one in his running club knew CPR, but two bystanders stopped and started chest compressions until EMS arrived. Today, Ethan has recovered, returned to class and is running regularly.

12 years ago, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life to leave the field of solid state physics and go into medicine. I told myself I would get away from academic science.
