@lisakirbie @dinahbrand2 Sleight of hand? That’s rich. But let’s see if you can answer a straightforward question- How are women defintionally different from men if not by sex? And why would you separate them based on this difference?

@dinahbrand2 These are three different concepts, and collapsing them together doesn’t make them the same thing. If you want to argue trans women aren’t women, that’s a separate debate and it requires an actual argument, not a definitional sleight of hand.

Claude Mellan's Face of Christ, also known as The Sudarium of Saint Veronica (1649), is one of the most technically extraordinary works in art history... The entire portrait is rendered using a single, continuous spiralling line that begins at the tip of Christ's nose and expands outward to the edges of the cloth. Mellan achieved the illusion of depth, shadow, and facial features without any cross-hatching or traditional shading. Instead, he precisely varied the thickness and pressure of the burin (his engraving tool) as he rotated the copper plate, creating "swelling" lines that darken the image where needed. The spiralling line is estimated to be approximately 150m (about 500ft) long if it were stretched out.

I wrote, for @unherd, about Believe Me, the drama series on ITV about the serial rapist John Worboys, the catastrophic police failures, and the incredible courage and tenacity of those survivors (assisted by @HWistrich) to hold them to account: unherd.com/2026/05/has-th…

Follow the logic. Women are deluded and naive for thinking predatory and violent men can be kept out of women-only spaces. ‘They can rape you anywhere.’ However, trans-identified men can only be safe in women-only spaces, because no abuser would ever follow them in there.

For anyone who missed this compilation (major props to the person who compiled this), this is the TQ+ movement, in all its glory. Do watch. They don’t want you to see this, so please DON’T upset them by RTING it. You’ll hear the histrionic conniptions from Waikiki…

@clairea26185218 @WomenReadWomen @ThomasWillett9 I remember seeing online this group of men who shared stories about how they followed women on the street- not to actually attack them but purely because they enjoyed seeing the fear they caused. A lot of these men are similar- not to physically to anything. But they merely

@LukeLRPS @JenniferB812 find it hilarious that these men who claim to know what a woman feels like has 0 empathy for women or understanding that lack of confrontation does not equal consent. ‘Fawn’ is a recognised flight or fight response.

@JenniferB812 You are not a woman and it’s insane to think that lack of confrontation equals consent…. AGAIN YOU ARE A MAN. And you don’t know what the women you work with actually think.

I have never, ever had an issue with single-sex spaces. I am a woman and use the woman's bathrooms and not once have I been confronted. The women I work with have no issue and support me. Transgender people are not the problem.

@WakoclipsR @RadioGenoa One religion of peace is Jainism. Their extremism includes not bathing or brushing teeth because they don’t want to harm microscopic organisms. That’s where extremism of an actual peaceful religion takes you. Not flying planes into buildings.

Calling Islam a religion of peace isn’t controversial when over a billion Muslims live ordinary lives focused on family faith and community. You can criticise extremism without pretending an entire religion has nothing positive to offer. The same standard should apply to every faith.

Just amazing that the conclusion Owen draws from this is "women shouldn't have their own spaces" rather than "men should do something about their own behaviour"

@Maria264506501 @GeneNLeslie1 @Glinner It feels like you believe TW are being singled out here. They’re not. They are not more dangerous than what you would call cis men-but they are not less dangerous either. Because they are men. Regardless of what they wear, they are men, and as such, do not belong in womens spaces
