They completely 180'd Ford's personality in the middle of the season with no explanation -- first he's hateful anti-robot guy, then he turns into supernaturally-prescient lover and protector of all robot kind. All for no reason, the writers just changed their minds, and nobody mentioned it again. Unwatchable.

I really do think something extraordinary, shocking, world-splitting, brain-exposing happened with the first season of Westworld. A work so wise, almost clairvoyant — and one of the best explorations of both the future and the human mind I’ve ever seen or read. Nothing like it.

Can any men help me understand the aversion many guys seem to have to asking questions about/ actively being interested in the lives and interiority of women they’re getting to know? I’m consistently hearing about this from women who are trying to find relationships— men who display seemingly no curiosity about the person they’re talking to. What is this? Is it an actual lack of interest, or something else?

@nosilverv Seems like a trade off to me. Tolerating left's internal state in order to maintain a more pragmatically sensible way of operation.
