The BKA chart shows suspects (Tatverdächtige) of violent crime in 2023: ~2 Japanese out of 39k residents (0.005%), 1,729 Algerians out of 25k (6.9%). Confirmed convictions are tracked separately via Destatis Strafverfolgungsstatistik, not published with this exact nationality granularity for violent crimes. Overall, non-Germans (~15-17% of population) were 39% of all convictions in 2023. The suspect disparities strongly correlate with conviction patterns.
