This was the first time I have spoken in public since losing my voice. I am grateful for the support of my incredible team of @Eli_White, @rickyfm, @mattcarrollcode, @en_JS and others who encouraged me to look beyond how I sound, and instead focus on what we've achieved.

People thought maybe my voice was shaky because I was nervous. Online people proposed perhaps I was crying. Someone suggested I had a near-fatal heart rate. I'd take those things over losing my voice permanently.

Today we're excited to introduce Devin, the first AI software engineer. Devin is the new state-of-the-art on the SWE-Bench coding benchmark, has successfully passed practical engineering interviews from leading AI companies, and has even completed real jobs on Upwork. Devin is an autonomous agent that solves engineering tasks through the use of its own shell, code editor, and web browser. When evaluated on the SWE-Bench benchmark, which asks an AI to resolve GitHub issues found in real-world open-source projects, Devin correctly resolves 13.86% of the issues unassisted, far exceeding the previous state-of-the-art model performance of 1.96% unassisted and 4.80% assisted. Check out what Devin can do in the thread below.

@whiteafrican @Delta Got it. I, and others, have had quite the time with KLM over the last few months. Delayed luggage, flights cancelled at the last moment, to name a few things.

After 10+ years of being a @Delta Million Miler, I’ve left. Not worth it any longer. Petty and degrading services.

@saranormous Hmm nothing is more energizing to me than being around people - but there’s usually that one person who can quickly empty you out. I feel for those who get drained. Recharge accordingly.

Developer Community organizing is hard. So why do some people do it for free? I wrote this as a tribute to the former leads of the Developer Circle Community program. Thank you for everything! nkeise.medium.com/volunteer-deve…

@hectorramos Sorry to hear about your daughter. I hope they see her soon. My nieces typically waits 5+ hours in ER but that’s in GA.

I just tested positive for COVID, so I’ll be doing KubeCon online. I don’t feel terrible, and there are takeaway places close to the hotel, so I'm fine. With all my travel, I guess it was inevitable. If you spent time with me at #KubeCon you should test. cc: @urlichsanais

@jamesqquick @warpdotdev I absolutely love it. Took a pretty mundane experience and made it joyful. I especially like the way you can bookmark commands which was pretty useful for demos.

@BethMooreLPM Oh I can’t wait for this! I’ve been a silent consumer of your fare on X. IRL is much more satisfying.

Y’all think I changed my mind about BFF Reunion (lol) after I slept on it but I didn’t. And yes, it’s crazy. But we’ve been putting up with crazy since the inception of Twitter. Let’s do something crazy good. I don’t want to swamp this platform with these plans so let me say this for now and then know that I’m doing some planning and scheming and conspiring behind the scenes and will update you as plans shape up: As space permits, this gathering will be open to anyone in this community who will come in good will and without a single other agenda—i mean it—but to delight in meeting one another face to face and celebrate with grateful hearts the decent interaction we’ve gotten to have on here amid a trillion differences. Here’s how I see the planning schedule going. I’m going to look for a date and a city. Might take me to the new year but I don’t anticipate taking longer than that. I’ll post the plans on here. I’ll then ask you how many of you are super super super serious about coming. That’s how I’ll know what size place to try to find. It will be important at that point that you really are serious about attending so we don’t spend the money on a larger place than we need. Listen, I don’t care if there are only 50 of us or 500! I just want to make sure we don’t overextend ourselves financially. I’m hoping to be able to make this as inexpensive as possible. I’d like the event to be free where no one pays to come but anyone can chip in if they want. And wouldn’t it be a blast to meet each other???

I always try to, sometime during @AllThingsOpen to make a special call out to the entire ATO team but especially to @toddlew. So much of the success and the heart and soul of this event is due to this special person. Todd is one of the most genuine people that it’s my pleasure and privilege to know.

Seriously, great folks putting everything into you being a better you.
