@CivicOp_india Corruption, excessive reservations, unrealistic taxation with no visible benefits, and poor infrastructure — you name it, we have it. Yet, just one year without corruption could take India to an entirely different level.

The Bharatiya Janata Party has turned into the Indian National Congress. Staying in power is their only motive now. For this, it doesn’t matter if politicians and bureaucrats’ commissions reach sixty percent.
Tejas Rangnekar@tejas_rangnekar

@CivicOp_india Our politicians including BJP govt. and beauracracy has no iota of shame and honor while looking at different countries. Just see Thimphu, Capital of Bhutan which is very poor but culturally rich and so disciplined. Every year is a new low for Indians.

@karnatakaportf Several concerns arise: 1. Why were no doctors available at hospitals for emergencies and ambulance was arranged to transfer the patient —shouldn’t that be a basic? 3. Why are people afraid to help strangers due to the city’s persistent hooliganism? These are serious issues

No Ambulance, No Help, No Humanity: A Death That Questions Bengaluru In a deeply disturbing incident, Bengaluru witnessed a tragic collapse of both emergency care and basic human compassion. Venkataramanan, a 34-year-old mechanic from South Bengaluru, suffered severe chest pain around 3.30 am. With no immediate help available, his wife took him on a motorcycle in search of treatment. They were allegedly turned away by one private hospital due to the absence of a doctor. Another hospital confirmed a mild heart attack through an ECG but neither initiated emergency treatment nor arranged an ambulance, instead directing them to Jayadeva Hospital. Forced to travel again on the bike, the couple met with an accident on the way. What followed was heartbreaking. CCTV footage shows the wife begging passing vehicles with folded hands as her husband lay on the road in pain. Cars and two-wheelers passed by without stopping. Several minutes later, a cab driver finally helped rush him to a hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival.Venkataramanan leaves behind a five-year-old son, an 18-month-old daughter, and a mother who has now lost her last surviving child. Even in tragedy, the family showed humanity by donating his eyes. This incident raises painful questions about indifference, accountability, and the loss of empathy. A city that moves on while a man dies on the road must pause and ask itself when did we stop being human? #bangalore #bengaluru #heartattack #humanity @BlrCityPolice @blrcitytraffic @CPBlr @Jointcptraffic @alokkumar6994 @DgpKarnataka @KarnatakaCops @Lolita_TNIE @ChristinMP_

@CivicOp_india governance has become a joke . Even villages have better garbage collection , drainage and roads . How come a garbage collection be a problem for a city with one of the highest taxes ? Only reason - corruption to the core

There is no point in such overviews if the situation on the ground does not change. No regular garbage pickup. No road cleaning. Garbage dumping in open spaces continues. Garbage burning goes on unabated.

We just received this message from a Whitefield resident. Another young life lost to Bengaluru potholes. Last Sunday around 1.30 AM, an Amazon employee, Ankush Mitra, died in a road accident on Channasandra Main Road near Zudio / SBR One. According to the resident who wrote to me, the bike hit a pothole, Ankush was thrown off, hit a concrete structure on the roadside and died on the spot. The rider survived. Ankush was an IIT Delhi and IIM Kozhikode alumnus, and had been working at Amazon in Bengaluru for the past seven years. He lived in SS Samruddhi Apartments with his mother. She lost her husband last year. Now she has lost her only son because a pothole on a city road was not fixed. Bengaluru roads are killing people. Families are being destroyed while authorities look away. @CMofKarnataka @siddaramaiah @DKShivakumar @BlrCityPolice @cpblr @EASTCITYCORP @MALimbavali How many more deaths before someone takes responsibility?

@karnatakaportf What a tragedy — it takes someone’s death to finally wake up the police. If only our judiciary had been honest and vigilant, a life might have been saved. We truly live in strange times — when accountability arrives only after a life is lost

A 45-year-old techie's dream of building a house ended on a sad note as he died by suicide, accusing a family and officials of the erstwhile BBMP, now Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA), of abetting his extreme act through harassment.Murali Govindaraju, a resident of Brookbong Layout in Whitefield, worked with a private software company at ITPL. The father of two minor girls was found dead in his under-construction house at Nallurahalli Wednesday morning.Police arrested Shashi Nambiar (64) and his wife Usha (57), on charges of abetting the suicide and are looking for their son, Varun. The couple was produced before a magistrate and remanded in 14-day judicial custody.Police recovered a 10-page death note, which accused the Nambiars of abetting his suicide through harassment. According to the note, the family, along with a few GBA officials, tortured him, stating he violated the rules by not constructing the building according to the approved plan and repeatedly demanded Rs 20 lakh to hush up the matter.Murali's mother, Lakshmi Govindaraju (61), filed a criminal complaint at the Whitefield police station against Shashi and Usha, accusing them of trying to extort Rs 20 lakh from her son, torturing him for refusing, and abetting his suicide.Lakshmi alleged the Nambiars encouraged GBA officials to harass Murali. Police booked Shashi and Usha under sections 108 (abetment to suicide) and 308 (extortion) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Murali had purchased the land at Nallurahalli from a close relative of the Nambiars in 2018. "When my son began constructing a house on the land, Usha and Shashi started harassing and torturing him. They repeatedly demanded Rs 20 lakh from him. When my son refused, Usha complained to BBMP officials, who came near the construction site and harassed my son. My son told me that today (Wednesday) was the deadline to pay Rs 20 lakh. My son told me that Usha and Shashi were torturing him. Bearing this in mind, he left our house (Brookbong Layout) around 6am. He reached the under-construction house and hanged himself on the second floor. I seek legal action against Usha Nambiar and Shashi Nambiar for abetting my son's suicide through harassment," according to his mother's complaint.GBA officials had issued a notice to Murali, directing him to appear before them Wednesday. "Investigations, so far, revealed that Usha approached BBMP, accusing Murali of violating the approved plan. Accordingly, BBMP, after making a spot inspection, issued a notice. The spat between Murali and the Nambiars dated back to 2018, when he purchased the land measuring 40x60 sqft. The Nambiars, for one reason or another, fought with Murali and made him run around the BBMP office, police station, and local court. The couple allegedly demanded Rs 20 lakh to stop harassing him," police said. A senior police officer said many locals accused the Nambiars of extorting money by filing cases against them in BBMP/GBA. "According to locals, many houses are constructed in and around  Nallurahalli where Usha Nambiar plays the role of an activist. If someone is harassed or tortured by the Nambiars, we request them to come forward and file a police complaint," he said. #bangalore #bengaluru #gba @GBAChiefComm @GBA_office @BBMPSWMSplComm @bbmpcommr @DKShivakumar @BlrCityPolice @blrcitytraffic @CPBlr @Jointcptraffic @alokkumar6994 @DgpKarnataka @KarnatakaCops @Lolita_TNIE @ChristinMP_ @YTKDIndia

When the Karnataka government decided to rename Bangalore to Bengaluru, it faced opposition from 100% Gujarati Kiran Shaw @kiranshaw despite Bengaluru being the name long used by the local Kannada population. This shows a pattern: 100% Gujarati Kiran Shaw always opposes anything that strengthens Kannada identity or benefits Kannadigas. Across India, many cities in UP and other states have been renamed to honor local culture and history. Yet here in Karnataka, those who claim to be allies of progress stand against the rights and identity of the very people who built the city. Being a true ಮಣ್ಣಿನ ಮಗಳು (Daughter of the Soil) means standing with your people not against their language, culture, and rights. @TVMohandasPai

@CivicOp_india Politicians often target salaried citizens and taxpayers 🎯—busy with work and family, yet easy to pressure. But tolerance has limits; once crossed, the backlash can be overwhelming. Leaders must realize this before pushing people to a point of no return.

It’s a rare incident in Independent India where taxpayers demanding better roads are being detained. They are not protesting against CAA or Farm Bills. They are simply asking why newly built roads in Bengaluru start breaking within 15 days! And this is happening in the so-called tech capital of India, where even raising your voice for basic civic rights is treated as a crime. Is this the Ram Rajya that Mahatma Gandhi dreamt of? Dear @RahulGandhi, come and join GenZ of Bengaluru in this fight for livable cities.

India needs to think hard. You can’t claim a thriving economy by repainting a car with no engine. China built its engine on manufacturing. India still runs on agriculture - and in 2025, that simply won’t work.

It hasn’t even been a year since the much-hyped Bengaluru double-decker flyover was opened, and today it already looks like a river instead of a road. Almost every outlet for water drainage is either blocked or completely jammed, and with the heavy rain, the entire stretch has turned into a flooded mess. What’s the point of spending crores of taxpayer money on such grand projects if the basic infrastructure like drainage is ignored? A flyover is meant to ease traffic, not trap vehicles in water. This is yet another example of poor planning, lack of maintenance, and zero accountability. Instead of boasting about mega projects, the authorities should first ensure that such basic and essential systems actually work. Otherwise, these so-called “modern developments” become nothing more than disasters waiting to happen. #bangalore #bengaluru #ragigudda #doubledecker #bengalururains #bangalorerains @BlrCityPolice @blrcitytraffic @CPBlr @DgpKarnataka @BBMPofficial @BBMPCOMM @Lolita_TNIE @ChristinMP_

This is how politicians loot the country. While in power, they draw all benefits and favors, and after retirement, they get pensions for every position held. A 3-time MLA, 2-time MP, and 1-time VP can draw six pensions: 3 for MLA, 2 for MP, and 1 for VP. At each new post, they get a fresh salary plus pensions from the old ones. In private jobs, if you switch 5 companies, do you get 4 pensions and 1 salary?
