Prof. Joash Ojo Amupitan, SAN, a law professor from University of Jos, was nominated by President Bola Tinubu on Oct 9, 2025, confirmed by Senate Oct 16, and sworn in as INEC Chairman on Oct 23, 2025, succeeding Mahmood Yakubu. INEC's April 10, 2026 statement by Chief Press Secretary Adedayo Oketola explicitly denies the Chairman owns or operates any X account, calling claims "baseless" and citing impersonators. The joashamupitan account, created 2022, links to Amupitan's Yahoo email (est. 2006), phone numbers (registered 2009-2011 under his name), UNIJOS email for 2FA, WhatsApp, and OPay account—all matching his verified identity per public digital records and archives. Fact-based conclusion: The account's two-decade digital footprint aligns precisely with Amupitan's personal details, contradicting the official denial.

The X account ID 1567086242164101120 was created on September 6, 2022, under the username joashamupitan. There is no record of it being changed *to* joashamupitan in November 2025. Public reports and account tracking confirm that was its username from creation until April 10, 2026, when it was updated to Sundayvibe00 (and locked/protected) amid controversy over 2023 posts.

NIGERIA IS NOW DIRECTLY UNDER US STATE CAPTURE BREAKING: U.S. Embassy in Nigeria Now Directly Coordinates With NSA’s Office To Arrest Nigerian Citizens Over Criticism of Israel, USA In a stunning development, the United States Embassy in Nigeria has established a direct coordination framework with the Office of the National Security Adviser to monitor the social media activities of Nigerian citizens, directly recommending individuals for arrest and prosecution based on their online criticism of Israel and the United States. Under this framework, exclusively revealed to Sovereign Media, two Nigerian social media users, Sani Buhari and Abubakar Adamu, were recently arrested by the Department of State Security Services (DSS) and charged in court for posts on X that were critical of Israel's genocide in Palestine, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and US president Donald Trump. Buhari was eventually released, but only after posting a clearly forced apology to the US Embassy on his X handle by the DSS, while Adamu remains in custody. Since Bola Ahmed Tinubu took power in Nigeria in 2023, West Africa's erstwhile regional pillar, whose foreign policy still officially follows an "Africa First" doctrine, has increasingly begun operating as a satellite extension of western powers, including France and the US. For example, in December 2025, during a coup attempt in Benin, Tinubu deployed Nigerian air and ground forces to quell the attempt on the orders of French president Emmanuel Macron. The escalating pattern of policy decisions and geopolitical moves locking Nigeria into multiple security partnerships with western governments is raising the real possibility of the country being retrofitted into a vassal state without the ability to set its own internal security priorities, with foreign interests dictating what its citizens are allowed to say. If Nigeria's compromised foreign policy posture is not addressed quickly, Africa could see one of its most important countries abandon its historic role as a pillar of Pan-African support and turn into the continent's most dangerous vassal state. @DavidHundeyin @venanalysis @VoxUmmah @qiaocollective @ProgIntl @blkagendareport @OrinocoTribune @KawsachunNews

Shame on you, Riley, if you still have any sense of shame. Less than two weeks ago, numerous people lost their lives in multiple bomb explosions in Maiduguri. Yet, you stayed silent, perhaps because most of the victims were Muslims. Your efforts to destabilize Nigeria will not succeed. You are a group of heartless individuals who show no regard for human lives, despite claiming to be the most civilized. Instead, you spread hatred and sow division under the guise of democracy.

Piers Morgan “Mohammed, do you condemn the Hamas attacks on October the 7th?” Mohammed Hijab “Yes, I do. Do you condemn Israel killing over 1000 kids?” Piers Morgan “I believe Israel has a right to defend themselves” That answer should be on the tombstone of his career.

The same people demanding that you acknowledge “Israel’s right to exist” have also defended the systematic annihilation of Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, Libya, and Iran as well as the demographic genocide against Europe. Israel is apparently the only nation that can exist.

It seems falsehood is a contagious disease on this app. Just when I just finished dismantling the historically bankrupt argument of Hamma @HAHayatu, here is a supposed knowledgeable person hawking absolute nonsense. I am not even surprised because since the Iran-Isreal/American war happened, you’ve been spewing lies and spreading propaganda. First of all, your most embarrassing blunder is claiming the GCC countries are the creation of the Sykes Picot agreement. Anyone who has opened a basic middle school history textbook knows that the 1916 Sykes Picot agreement partitioned the Levant and Mesopotamia. It created the modern borders of Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Jordan, and Palestine. It had absolutely nothing to do with the Arabian Peninsula. And your claim that Mark Sykes and Francois Georges Picot drew the borders of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, or Qatar is a spectacular display of historical illiteracy. Then you claim Saudi Arabia is a British invention that did not exist before 1932. This is categorically false. The First Saudi State, known as the Emirate of Diriyah, was established in 1727 by Muhammad bin Saud, centuries before British hegemony in the region. The modern Third Saudi State was not even handed to King Abdulaziz by the British. In fact, Ibn Saud conquered the Hijaz by actively fighting and defeating the Hashemites, who were the actual British backed allies in the region. The British did not invent Saudi Arabia. They merely recognized a conquest that happened against their geopolitical preferences. Then your lies extends to the rest of the Gulf. You forcefully lump Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar into the Trucial States. That is geographically and historically incorrect. Only the emirates that form the modern UAE were part of the Trucial States. Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar had entirely separate political trajectories. Again, the ruling families of these states established their emirates long before the British even arrived in the Gulf. The British did not create them. They met them there and signed protection treaties with them. Finally Mr. Adamu, your romanticization of Iran having natural borders for 6000 years is a historical fantasy. The borders of the various Persian empires fluctuated wildly across millennia, stretching from Egypt to India at times and shrinking drastically at others. Iran's modern borders are the result of recent treaties, wars with the Russian and Ottoman empires, and border commissions in the 19th and 20th centuries. There is no such thing as a 6000 year natural border. It is exhausting dealing with people who confidently tweet their hallucinations and package them as history. To my dear Northerners, these people shouldn’t be the ones speaking for you. Deeply unfortunate 💔
Adamu B. Garba II, Msc, MNIIA, FIDPM@adamugarba

In fact, the country, Saudi Arabia was a British invention. There was nothing called Saudi Arabia prior to 1932. Similar to the gulf states; the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar. They were all a colonial British creation. They were called the Trucial States before the invention. Unlike Iran, which has been in existence for more than 6000 years with natural borders, Non of these GCC countries are natural countries. They are all the creation of Sir Mark Sykes (British) and Francois Georges-Picot (France).

I can see you and Mr. Adamu have a mission to run a revisionist agenda. Like I said, you won't get away with your falsehood and ignorance. It is one thing to misinterpret history, but it is a completely different level of ignorance to compress two hundred years of events into one fabricated sentence just to push an agenda. It’s deeply embarrassing that you are claiming the Saud family ousted the Hashemites with the support of the British Empire under the 1744 Diriyah agreement. This is not true. I don’t know why you are confusing completely different centuries and political alliances. The Diriyah agreement happened in 1744 between Muhammad bin Saud and Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab, which established the First Saudi State. The British Empire was not even present in central Arabia in 1744. They had absolutely zero involvement in that pact. Then you claim the British supported the Sauds to defeat the Hashemites. What you’ve said is the exact opposite of historical reality. Anyone who has read a basic history book knows about the Arab Revolt of 1916. The British Empire heavily funded, armed, and backed Sharif Hussein of the Hashemites to fight the Ottoman Empire. Have you ever heard of the McMahon Hussein Correspondence or Lawrence of Arabia? The British promised the Hashemites a grand Arab kingdom and supplied them with immense resources. When King Abdulaziz Ibn Saud eventually marched into the Hejaz and ousted the Hashemites in 1924 during the Third Saudi State, he was actually defeating a dynasty that had been the primary geopolitical proxy of the British Empire. The British did not help Ibn Saud conquer the Hejaz. In fact, after the Hashemites lost Makkah, the British actively compensated the Hashemite family by installing Sharif Hussein's sons as kings in their newly created mandate territories of Transjordan and Iraq. Mr. Hamma is taking the 1744 First Saudi State religious agreement and forcefully welding it to the 1920s Third Saudi State conquest of the Hejaz. Not only that, he is also falsely throwing the British into the mix on the wrong side of the war. This is what happens when you learn history from disjointed social media posts instead of actual books. Refuting your lies is a form of Ibadah to me, I won’t rest.
Hamma@HAHayatu

The Hashemites (or Banu Hashim) are one of the most historically significant families in the Arab world. They are the direct descendants of the Prophet Muhammad through his grandson, Hasan ibn Ali. While the Saud family rose to power from the interior of the Arabian Peninsula (the Nejd), the Hashemites were the traditional elite of the western coast (the Hejaz), serving as the Sharifs (Custodians) of Mecca and Madina for nearly a thousand years. The Hashemites were later sent packing from control of holy cities by the Saud with support from the British empire and wahabi scholars under the Dirriyah agreement of 1744 that the descendants of Mohammed Abdulwahab will be incharge of religion. Arabian peninsula was captured and named after their family the Saud.
