@AugustCohen4 @mehdirhasan Running for governor in a red state is a lot different than running for president of the country. This is a bad answer and it will hurt him in the Dem primary if he runs

If your first response to being asked about whether there’s a genocide in Gaza is to ridicule even asking the question or using the term, and then immediately pivot to Oct 7 and Israel’s ‘right to defend’ itself, and then only blaming Trump while ignoring Biden, then you’re probably not the right guy to be the 2028 Dem presidential candidate for the current party base (or American public for that matter).
POLITICO@politico

Dem @GovAndyBeshear is declining to call Israel’s actions in Gaza “genocide.” “That’s becoming one of those new litmus tests that we said we would never do as a party,” he told our @DashaBurns on #TheConversation. Listen to the full interview: politi.co/4uVmEfE

@BrookTozer78317 @cgibby1980 @kaitlancollins Harris was clearly a worse campaigner than Biden. You also had an unpopular Democrat in office, similar to how you had an unpopular Republican in office when Biden won. So yes, I do think it’s believable 7 million people who voted Biden didn’t vote for Harris

@cgibby1980 @kaitlancollins So 7 million people who voted for Biden didn’t show up for Harris? That must mean Democrat voters are racist and sexist

@burkehenryt "genuinely unsafe to fly in America now" is an interesting way to put it when there are roughly 45,000 flights per day, one incident doesn't make it suddenly unsafe.

The bad news: Airport traffic control is so bad that it's genuinely dangerous to fly in America now. Also you need to arrive at the airport 4 hours early so the gestapo can menace you in the security line The good news: oil is so expensive you can no longer afford to fly anyways

Wake Up NJ 🇺🇸 New Jersey
Either Mikie Sherrill is the most popular candidate NJ has ever seen or we have a fundamental problem here Looking awfuly suspicious considering our voter rolls are incredibly dirty with more people registered than eligible, combined w/ Dems having to be sued for the voter rolls

New Jersey had more people registered than eligible to vote, no wonder Democrats here don't want the voter rolls looked into or us have ID to vote

We are enthusiastically willing to pay TSA workers today, and we will keep trying, but the sticking point is that Republicans want to attach ICE funding to it. We are not in agreement about ICE, but I don’t think workers and travelers should have to wait for an ICE deal.

@nikicaga @Press4BC Janet is 78. Not 80. She is a respected governor who was elected twice with large majorities and is very popular. The race is close because a lot of money is pouring in from the Planter side.

Again I like Platner but endorsing him and not Abdul is just racist garbage. They’re identical on policy, both in targeted races, both endorsed by Bernie, and both men running against women. There is no reason to support Platner but not Abdul unless you’re just racist.
Graham Platner for Senate@grahamformaine

🚨Endorsement Alert! 🚨 “People are excited to vote for someone who will actually fight for them. Not just nibble around the edges.” Thank you, Senator Warren. Together I look forward to taking on Wall Street and the billionaires waging a class war against the rest of us.

@CoastalClever @Real_RobN @Jack4NJ What statistical analysis? The turnout percentage was similar to the 2001 and 2005 elections. It wasn't unheard of numbers. There's also several factors that make it reasonable to expect last year to have been a higher turnout election.

Here it is: The New Jersey gubernatorial election — November 4, 2025. For the last 50 years, the State of New Jersey has had about 2 million voters, and the winner usually received roughly 1.1 to 1.4 million votes. Somehow, on November 4, 2025, the State of New Jersey had over 3 million voters, and Democrat Mikie Sherrill received 1.7 million votes. In other words: they did the Joe Biden. The State government of New Jersey has been toppled. Pass the SAVE America Act.

@brianschatz Senator that seems like a bad idea for the Dems to agree on. ICE is already heavily funded through 2029. Passing a bill to fund all the other agencies of DHS gives up any real leverage Dems have. At that point what incentive would GOP have to agree to to any changes Dems want?

What happened to Mikie Sherrill "Declaring an energy state of emergency" and freezing our bills on Day 1? My electric bill is up 25% since she took office. Shocker, she stood for nothing but a radical left wing ideology.

@LuckyRic10 @admcrlsn I mean, Biden 2020 worked out pretty well. His campaign ran on not raising taxes on anyone making less than $400k, expanding tax credits, lowering healthcare costs, while raising taxes on the rich and corporations. But he never specifically called to lower taxes

@CanesFanRoast @emanningwrites I mean, it certainly seems like he explored trading for the big names. But we saw what the market was. You'd likely be saying goodbye to Nikishin, Nadeau, and draft picks. Is that worth it?

Now that the trade deadline has come and gone, @hannaRyates got Rod Brind'Amour's thoughts on the whole situation. It was an interesting answer from the head coach. "I know there's a lot of disappointment, I'm going to be honest. (The players) were hoping to see us make a splash. It's tough; we're one of the best teams in the league right now. Teams are making deals to try to catch us, and to try to catch the teams that are ahead of them, and that is us. On one side, it would be nice to throw your chips in and see if you could improve your team, but we love the group we have. If you're (making moves), it means you're going to be disrupting that chemistry that I think we've done pretty well here. It's behind us, and we've got to move on."

@WaltRuff @MagnetoCane @hannaRyates Yikes. I was ok without using our 1st and Nadeau to get Trocheck, but hearing that our team is disappointed is now making me rethink things. It sounds like Rod and the team weren’t on the same page as GMET, and that’s a problem.
