AMD: “Full HBM4 Supply Deal with Samsung Is Imminent” AMD, which alongside Nvidia is leading the artificial intelligence infrastructure market, said it is close to signing a definitive agreement with Samsung Electronics for the large-scale supply of HBM4, the sixth generation of high-bandwidth memory. As AMD announced the mass production of its “Helios” AI server racks, Samsung dispatched the head of its foundry division and the executive overseeing its U.S. semiconductor operations, known as Device Solutions Americas (DSA), to finalize negotiations over an HBM4 supply agreement. Speaking with reporters during the “AMD Advancing AI 2026” event in San Francisco on June 23, local time, AMD CEO Lisa Su was asked whether the company was discussing a substantive agreement to secure significant volumes of HBM4 following the signing of a memorandum of understanding with Samsung for priority supply. “We’re almost there,” she replied. Su visited Samsung Electronics’ Pyeongtaek campus in March to sign the MOU. The agreement calls for Samsung to receive priority consideration as an HBM4 supplier for AMD’s new AI accelerators and for the companies to cooperate in the foundry business. Her remarks indicated that a definitive agreement for additional HBM4 supplies is now imminent following Samsung’s selection as a priority supplier. “Helios is now in full-scale production and is scheduled to begin shipping at the end of the third quarter,” Su said during her keynote address. Han Jin-man, president of Samsung Electronics’ foundry business, and Cho Sang-yeon, executive vice president and head of DSA, attended Su’s keynote in person and held discussions aimed at launching full-scale HBM4 supplies. They remained in attendance throughout the two-hour presentation and, immediately afterward, continued talks with senior AMD executives, including Corporate Vice President and Chief Technology Officer Joseph Macri. Asked about negotiations over a follow-up HBM4 agreement, Han and Cho declined to comment, saying only, “We have an important meeting coming up shortly.” When asked about additional HBM supplies and the possibility of producing AMD chips through Samsung’s foundry business, Macri described the relationship as “collaborative.”

This is the message young girls receive when athletes like Sophie Cunningham use their platform to speak the truth in love. Courage IS contagious. It sounds cliche, but it's true.
Briley Lechner@BrileyLechner

I’m 16. I play because I love my sport and my team. Watching @sophaller say it out loud — that girls shouldn’t have to give up fair competition or our privacy — meant more than she’ll ever know. When a WNBA star says it, maybe people finally listen. I know what it’s like to have your voice on this treated like it’s hateful. It isn’t. Wanting a fair game and a private locker room was never hate. It’s just the truth, and I’m done being afraid to say it. Thank you, Sophie, for going first. You made it easier for the rest of us.

$AMD CEO: Inference surpasses training in 2026, consuming an estimated 60% of global AI compute capacity. "We can say that in 2026, for the first time, the world is using more AI compute to run models than to train them. And we’ve seen that to a point where we think this year, roughly 60% of the global AI compute capacity will be used for inference"

$AMD CEO @LisaSu: AMD raises its 2030 AI accelerator TAM to $1.4T as inference and agentic workloads accelerate. "We’re now expecting that by 2030, the AI accelerator market is going to reach about $1.4 trillion. By 2030. So, what do you think about that? Is that a big number? I mean, what that means is, by the end of the decade, the AI accelerator market is going to approach the size of the entire semiconductor market today."

We are past the CUDA moat days. Anthropic says Claude can bootstrap @amd Instinct + ROCm. @NotTomBrown: "I think the thing that we were thinking about originally was whenever we're bringing up a new hardware platform, it's a big effort. It's like a huge thing. And so as we were thinking about this, we started doing our own evaluation of MI 355. You guys generously got us a rack to start working. And we expected this to be kind of a big process. Our actual experience was we had one engineer who start doing it. They spun up Claude, asked it, hey, bring up this machine, left it going over the weekend. And we ended up with a graph of the actual performance of our leading model on it, just going up and up and up over the weekend."

@SemiAnalysis_ You're mistaken. Read it again. Somewhat incredible that anyone would think it would be possible for TPUs to be GOOGLE CLOUD's biggest revenue driver. I mean, come on. You're going to want to correct this quickly, before it hurts your reputation.

ALERT🚨🚨: META's CUSTOM AMD MI400-series chip will be half the size of a normal MI455X chip. It is "optimized" for recsys workloads and $/Memory Bandwidth. It will use ~144GB of HBM instead of 432GB. We break it down below👇️ 1/7🧵

BREAKING: Iran is seriously considering a ground incursion into Kuwait to seize U.S. military bases, including Camp Buehring and either Camp Arifjan or Ali Al Salem Air Base, if Washington continues its military campaign against Tehran, according to Prominent Iranian journalist and analyst Mahdi Khanalizadeh and former Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki. Mahdi Khanalizadeh: "Kuwait is considered one of Iran's principal options for a potential ground incursion aimed at seizing the two U.S. military bases located within the country." Former Iranian Foreign Minister Mottaki previously said Iran could launch a ground operation to capture U.S. troops and take them as prisoners to Iran if necessary, while Iranian officials have warned that "no political border will be safe" and that Tehran would shift to a "full-scale offensive" if U.S. strikes continue.

Marco Rubio Just Went OFF On Left-Wing Terrorism He just called out: -Transgender shooter that shot up a Catholic school. -The far left radical that murdered Charlie Kirk -Multiple deranged assassination attempts on President Trump “More than 80% of radical violence is now driven by far-left and anarchist actors. These are not abstract statistics. Americans have seen what those numbers mean. An all-out assault on our immigration officers, sniper attacks, explosives, armed ambushes, a transgender shooter opening fire on Catholic elementary school students as they pray, his gun marked with slogans like, "Where is your God now?", a healthcare executive executed in cold blood in the streets, multiple assassination attempts on a sitting president, and the murder of the greatest conservative activist of a generation, a man who happened to also be a husband and the father of two young children, shot and killed while speaking to a crowd of students. This is a distinctive and unique evil. It has always been driven by a hatred, above all else, a hatred for civilization itself. It is a revolt of the worst against the best, a revolt of the weak and the cowardly against the strong and the good. It is perpetrated by those who cannot build, who cannot create, who cannot achieve great things, and take their revenge upon the world for their own inadequacy by seeking to destroy those who can. This is what radical leftism is. It may wear various different slogans and ideologies across place and time. They can call themselves anti-capitalist, or anti-imperialist, or communist, or anarchist, or Marxist, but the fundamental character is always the same. It's always the same. It is a poisonous resentment cloaked in the language of equality and justice, liberation, and an overwhelming need to tear down what greater men have built, to wreck what is beautiful and what is right, on behalf of people who are only filled with ugliness and have nothing else to offer the world. Through violence and through terror, they once again seek to impose their ugliness on all of us.” THIS is the speech that Americans needed to hear.

Time and time again. SemiAnalysis ‘calls it as they see it.’ @dylan522p, get some better glasses then, because you keep making the same mistake. Either you are right or Jensen is lying to all of us. Anyway, all I care about is this: ‘Giant amounts of production incoming.’ Bullish AI Infra.
Wall St Engine@wallstengine

Nvidia $NVDA CEO Jensen Huang directly DENIED reports that Vera Rubin is delayed. “The reports are not true. Vera Rubin is already in production. Giant amounts of production incoming,” Huang told Bloomberg. The denial follows SemiAnalysis reporting that Nvidia’s next-gen AI server rack system had faced delays tied to a specialized circuit board issue.

MASSIVE DELAY: Just 3 months after Jensen demoed Kyber NVL144 at GTC, it has faced major setbacks and has been delayed by more than 12 months, pushing it back to 2028. Below, we explain why Kyber has faced massive delays and why NVIDIA’s NVL72x2 back-to-back rack architecture was also cancelled, leaving Rubin Ultra with a limited scale-up domain. 👇️ 1/6🧵
