@ModernDad @CoachDanGo I have 8 Sleep, Apple Watch Ultra, Oura Ring 4, and now Fitbit Air. 8 Sleep overly optimistic. Oura/Apple Watch/Fitbit Air all very close. Love my 8 Sleep, but it's crap for real stats.

For the next 7 days, I'm going to wear a Whoop, Oura Ring, Fitbit Air, and Apple Watch all at the same time. The goal is to see the differences in sleep and recovery metrics as well as user experience. Anything else would you want to see from this test?

@lost_nomad__ Manhattan Beach would be the exception. So good that Hawaii shipped it's sand in the 20's to form Waikiki Beach.

@ahazelrigg @bryan_johnson Is there any proposed mechanism to this? Is it an infrared sauna? As in might it be the infrared that is reversing the ALS? Humans are like plants and we need infrared and all the other rays from the spectrum of the sun or we wither.

@bryan_johnson Florida Dr. using same theory to reverse ALS. The results have been amazing—I would call BS if I didn’t personally know two of the patients. Their treatments are in a chamber (head out)—heat basically as hot as your body can handle without killing you.

@MobofJoggers @LandonoftheWest And let’s not forgot the Cybertruck is 1% of sales because it’s ugly as hell. Full size SUV that looks more like an R1S, Tahoe, Defender, etc. would crush it.

Anyone arguing that Tesla shouldn't build a large SUV because of low demand needs to explain why the heck Tesla built the Cybertruck that is only 1% of sales! @LandonoftheWest
Grok@grok

@MobofJoggers In 2025, Tesla delivered an estimated 17,012 Cybertrucks based on registration data and analyst reports. This represents about 1% of Tesla's total vehicle deliveries of 1,636,129 for the year.

Grok calls BS: No, the claims in this post are **not accurate**—they significantly exaggerate, misinterpret, and cherry-pick data from a real study while promoting a fringe view on cholesterol that's contradicted by mainstream scientific consensus. ### The Swedish AMORIS Study The post refers to the 2023 AMORIS cohort study (published in *GeroScience*), which analyzed blood biomarkers from ~44,000 Swedes (part of a larger cohort of over 800,000) measured in 1985–1996, with follow-up up to 35 years. Only 1,224 reached age 100. - **Key finding on cholesterol**: Being in the **lowest quintile** (bottom 20%) of **total cholesterol** was associated with a lower likelihood of reaching 100. However, **high total cholesterol did not increase the odds** of longevity. - A correction to the paper clarified: "Having high cholesterol neither increases nor decreases the probability of living to 100 years of age." - The study measured **total cholesterol**, not LDL-C specifically. It found no data supporting "every centenarian had high total cholesterol" or "highest LDL-C = longest lifespans." - Other favorable markers for centenarians included high iron and low glucose, but profiles were measured decades earlier (ages 64–99), and differences were small. This is an **association** in older adults, not proof that high cholesterol *causes* longer life. In fact, high LDL cholesterol in midlife is a well-established risk factor for cardiovascular disease (CVD), the leading cause of death. ### Claims About High LDL and Longevity - No evidence from this or other studies shows "the higher your LDL, the longer you live." Some observational data in very old age show an inverse association (higher cholesterol linked to lower mortality risk), possibly due to reverse causation (illness lowers cholesterol) or survivor bias. - Doctors like Uffe Ravnskov and Malcolm Kendrick promote cholesterol skepticism, but their views are not supported by major health organizations (e.g., AHA, WHO). Ben Bikman focuses on metabolic health but often downplays LDL risks in low-carb contexts. ### Dangers of Low Cholesterol - Some associations exist (e.g., very low cholesterol linked to higher risks of certain cancers, dementia, or hemorrhagic stroke in observational studies), but these are often confounded by frailty, malnutrition, or underlying disease. - No strong causal evidence that low cholesterol (<180 or <150 mg/dL) "skyrockets" cancer/dementia rates or that LDL <70 mg/dL triples brain-bleeding stroke risk. - Aggressive LDL lowering (e.g., via statins/PCSK9 inhibitors) does **not** increase dementia or hemorrhagic stroke risk overall, per large meta-analyses and AHA reviews. Benefits for CVD prevention outweigh rare risks. ### Statins and Life Extension - Statins robustly reduce CVD events and mortality in high-risk people (secondary prevention) and many primary prevention cases. - In primary prevention trials, all-cause mortality benefit is smaller (often days to weeks over trial duration due to short follow-up), but real-world data show significant reductions (e.g., 20–30% lower all-cause mortality in matched cohorts). - Statins do **not** just "damage mitochondria & hormones"—side effects (e.g., muscle pain) occur in some, but benefits dominate for those at risk. ### Why the Body Needs Cholesterol This part is mostly correct: Cholesterol is essential for: - Cell membrane structure and fluidity. - Precursor for steroid hormones (e.g., testosterone, cortisol), vitamin D, and bile acids (for fat/vitamin absorption). - Roles in immunity, brain function, and more. But the body makes all it needs (~80% from liver synthesis); dietary cholesterol has minimal impact on blood levels for most people.

🔥BREAKING: The secret to living to 100+? HIGH CHOLESTEROL! A massive Swedish study tracking over 800,000 people for 35 years just revealed: Every single centenarian had HIGH total cholesterol. The higher your LDL, the longer you live. Mind blown yet? Dr. Ben Bikman exposes the lies about cholesterol being "bad." Key findings from the Sweden AMORIS study: - All centenarians: High total cholesterol, high iron, low glucose. - Highest LDL-C = longest lifespans (backed by Dr. Uffe Ravnskov & Dr. Malcolm Kendrick). Dangers of low cholesterol: - LDL <70 mg/dL → 3X higher risk of brain-bleeding strokes. - Total <180 mg/dL → Skyrocketing cancer & dementia rates. - <150 mg/dL → Increased chronic diseases like cancer & autoimmunity. - Statins? They don't extend life—damage mitochondria & hormones instead. Why your body CRAVES cholesterol: - Builds every cell & powerhouse mitochondria. - Absorbs vital vitamins A, D, E, K. - Powers digestion via bile acids. - Supercharges immunity against infections, viruses, bacteria, pathogens—even cancer. - Fights depression, suicide, dementia & cognitive decline. - Shields from toxins, heavy metals, strokes, heart disease & osteoporosis. - Fuels ALL steroid hormones (low chol = low testosterone & libido). - Lowers all-cause mortality risk. Pro tip: Go low-carb, load up on nutrient-dense animal foods. Grass fed beef, pastured eggs, wild caught seafood...Dump seed oils, sugar & processed garbage. Target TG/HDL ratio <1.5 for elite heart health. Tight budget like me?? Seek out a local farmer, butcher & farm market & make a 'bulk large sale deal' for beef at $5/lb & eggs $4/Dz Are you ditching your statin yet? Tell me in the comments, I read every reply & do my best to respond to every question! If I miss your question...PLEASE DM direct message me! I truly care about you & your health!👇🔥

Don't fly Aer Lingus. They called me the morning of my flight and told me they oversold Business Class and bumped us to the next day. When I checked in at DUB and asked the agent, she said "They Do This ALL the Time." I requested compensation when I returned to the States and my claim was denied. DO NOT FLY THIS AIRLINES unless you want to get bumped.
