The bill orders a Government Accountability Office study and establishes an Office of Men’s Health within HHS — using existing appropriations, with an explicit prohibition on pulling from women’s health funding. Virginia’s General Assembly just made history. A bill establishing the Virginia Boys and Men Advisory Commission—the first of its kind in the nation—has passed both chambers with overwhelming bipartisan support. The commission will focus on education inequity, economic opportunity, health outcomes, family life, and the impact of social media on boys and men in the Commonwealth. The bill now awaits Gov. Spanberger’s signature.

“The lack of male representation in the mental health professions couldn’t come at a worse time,” notes AIBM President @RichardvReeves in @WSJ.    Our research has found that men now account for just 18% of social workers and 20% of psychologists, down from 38% and 68%, respectively, since 1968. wsj.com/health/wellnes…
