I wish to establish my own crash test agency in India after working under David Ward for 10 years. This agency would conduct tests beyond the standard front, side, pole, pedestrian, ADAS, and ESC evaluations. These additional tests include: ✅ Colliding a car into a truck model, both with and without an under-run bar, at 70 kmph. ✅ Impacting a car against a tree model at 70 kmph. ✅ Simulating a car rollover from a 60 feet height mountain model set. ✅ Conducting a rear-end collision test by hitting a stationary car with a dummy vehicle at 60 kmph. ✅ Testing brake effectiveness with a dummy head outside the sunroof at 70 kmph. ✅ Assessing roof strength by striking a 500 kg pole lamp on the car roof, both with and without a sunroof. Rather than utilizing a traditional star rating system, ratings will be given on a scale of 2.25, 3.75, etc., out of 10. The primary objective is not to enable car manufacturers to market safety ratings but to promote safe driving among car owners and to test vehicles comprehensively for improved transparency and detailed ratings. Brands will not be allowed to sponsor the tests; instead, these tests will be solely funded through crowd-funding efforts.
