@Heccles94 Did the workers put up the £120k? Do they contribute to the monthly lease?

“But the interesting point here is that he thinks all the profit being generated by the workers should go to them” How dare the surfs think they are entitled to the fruits of their Labour!
Peter McCormack 🏴‍☠️🇬🇧🇮🇪@PeterMcCormack

Here is another stupid take by a silly little socialist. They are two separate businesses. I don't take a wage from the coffee shop despite owning and operating it at the senior level. There is no money left to pay me. I do it out of love. The costs of the podcast are paid out of the profits of the podcast, which is a good little business. But the interesting point here is that he thinks all the profit being generated by the workers should go to them. But the silly little socialists can't fathom the following: 1. I took the risk to open the coffee shop - the £120k refurb, the 10 year lease, the business plan and the risk. My reward for the risk if the profits if it works, which I can share with the staff if I choose. 2. But even if we take the silly little socialist mildly seriously (we shouldn't, he's a dumb dumb), if the business fails and is losing money, should we blame the workers and should it be deducted from their salary? This is why these silly little revolutionaries should not be taken seriously. Firstly they don't understand economics, second they are fundamentally stupid, third their model is based on envy, fourth they have no answer to the coordination problem. I could go on, probably not worth it as you can't reason with silly little socialists.

Unemployment down. Growth up. Minimum wage up. Inflation back under control. Approaching two years in, the direction of travel matters. There is much more to do, but families across Rugby, Bulkington and the Villages are starting to feel the difference. #Labour #Rugby

@HelenHampton @ZackPolanski Venom, that's all you have. No empathy, no compassion, no depth of loss for the victims. Just venom. Heinous genocide on going and because Zack is an outspoken anti Israel, the very perpetrator of atrocities over DECADES, you come out with this despicable verbal diatribe. .

Why doesn’t @KemiBadenoch need to apologise and correct the record for misleading Parliament on calling @Keir_Starmer”lying” and calling him “dishonest” today again when it’s been proven he is not. Don’t the rules apply to her ? @SkyNews @BBCNews

Is there a sense of frustration among some journalists and commentators that they STILL haven’t managed to bring Starmer down as PM?

Next Tuesday is set to be an absolute juggernaut in Westminster as Keir Starmer faces a day of intense scrutiny over the appointment of Lord Mandelson * First up we have Sir Philip Barton, the former perm sec at the FCDO, who is expected to directly contradict Starmer's claim that no pressure was applied 'whatsoever' over Mandelson's appointment * Barton strongly opposed appointing Mandelson. He was concerned about the way Dame Karen Peirce, the outgoing ambassador, was being treated and though it was a mistake to replace her given that she was personally liked by Trump and his administration * Barton was concerned about Mandelson's suitability for the role and thought it carried significant 'reputational risks' * He also agreed with Lord Case, the then Cabinet Secretary, that vetting should be carried out before the appointment was made. He was overruled by Starmer * Then we have Morgan McSweeney, the PM's chief of staff. He will be questioned over claims - which he denies - that he told Barton to 'just fucking approve' Mandelson's appointment * He is expected to say that the discussion, during a Zoom call, centred on his frustration at the failure to secure a departure date for Peirce. He will deny it represented pressure * We can also expect McSweeney to be asked about his stolen phone and the missing WhatsApp message. And why there appears to be no official record of the PM's decision * Lastly we have the possibility of a vote on whether to refer Starmer to the privileges committee for misleading the Commons. Ministers and opposition parties look likely to grant it It's going to be one hell of a day...

I think there’s a very good chance he survives into next year. My view, as previously expressed, is that if Starmer doesn’t turn things around in the next couple of years, the time for him to leave would be within a year of the next election. But there is no guarantee that a successor would improve Labour’s chances.

Key line of Sir Olly Robbins letter to Ctte: "When the PM informed the house that the proper process had been followed in respect of National Security Vetting, he was correct" In other words: He followed process & didn't do anything wrong. PM knows that too.

Boris failed to vet security as PM. Starmer faces pressure over his former U.S. ambassador’s alleged Epstein links. Yet in the U.S., no arrests, no resignations—and the First Lady is exposed after claiming no involvement in Epstein's crimes. British people, wake up. British media and pundits, shame on you.

@afneil Andrew, why not ask one or two of our many living former PMs what their protocol was when confirming ambassadors and other for. appointments? Did they wait to hear if their nominees had cleared the security checks? Were they told of the results of those checks?

The unraveling continues. On November 11 2024 the Cabinet Secretary advised Starmer: “You should give us the name of the person you would like to appoint and we will develop a plan for them to acquire the necessary security clearances and do due diligence on any potential Conflicts of Interest or other issues of which you should be aware before confirming your choice." Starmer ignored this advice. Appointed Mandelson December 2024, with vetting not done til January 2025. The rest is history

What reflects very poorly on Starmer is that if, as the government claims, Sir Olly Robbins was entitled to tell him that Mandelson had failed security services vetting, why was the Prime Minister not far more curious?

@TheGalleryAuto1 @MatthewStadlen I never mentioned those 2 at all. I simply stated that the buck stops with Starmer and he is culpable. He absolutely is. I also stated he’s a serial liar. He absolutely is. Those facts don’t change regardless of whether anyone else is better or not.

The hatred directed at Starmer is toxic and the attacks on him often wildly exaggerated. He has done some good stuff as Prime Minister. But he isn’t a story-teller and I’m still not convinced he has a story. I’ve been critical of him many times. He has made some important mistakes - one of which was appointing Mandelson, which (unlike some notable others, including Nigel Farage) I didn’t endorse at the time. Huge couple of days ahead now for Starmer - he doesn’t have a lot of support in the media!

@MatthewStadlen If he goes because of this Mandelson bullshit of which he isn’t directly culpable I will immeasurably pissed off. The hate he gets is disgusting frankly. It’s clear the media, elites and gammons want him gone. Which should be reason enough to keep him in my opinion.
