@VoWSilla The sword in question was real, not fake. An arrest for possession of an offensive weapon therefore followed.

Did anyone see what happened to this gal? So many fake and unnecessary arrests yesterday. Rumor is: "This poor girl was arrested for having a fake sword. Obviously in costume, sword was in a sheath around her waist, police then lied to her and told her she wouldn’t be arrested, the sword would just be confiscated. Then took her around the corner and slapped the cuffs on her. She was completely cooperative and obviously very frightened. Felt very sorry for her." @VoWalesOfficial

@VoWSilla The sword was real. Which part of the law regarding carrying weapon in public don’t you understand, Silla?

"There is no antisemitic undercurrent to this march and there are a very large number of jewish people on this march as well. Jewish people who want to see peace and respect for the Palestinian people. Criticism of Israel is not antisemitic." Jeremy Corbyn

Is there a SINGLE UK journalist who will do what I have done and go up and down today’s march against the GENOCIDE in Gaza and actually report the TRUTH? TRUTH: These are NOT “hate marches” They are marches for justice and against GENOCIDE The marchers are the BEST of us

Islamophobia is socially accepted in the West. This sells the idea that if you remove a Muslim woman’s clothes, you’re “liberating” her. No. You’re harassing her. It puts Muslim women at risk, but it doesn’t matter, *bc they are Muslim*. Horrid, vile racism at this march

Tommy Robinson Unite the Kingdom. It was a matter of time before the Islamophobia would start. It’s sickening behaviour. As Muslims, we shouldn’t have to tolerate this in our home…… England.

Yesterday, we showed our determination to support the Palestinian people in the face of lies and smears. The British government is complicit in genocide — and we will be here for as long as it takes until there is justice and liberation for Palestine.

Why did you make so few arrests at the Nakba hate march, @metpoliceuk? Shouldn't every single person chanting for Tommy Robinson to be shot dead have been arrested on the spot for incitement to violence?
Samara Gill@SamaramGill

SHOCKING EXCL: “Shoot him in the neck like Charlie Kirk” far-left protesters call for Tommy Robinson to be “hung like Mussolini”. I don’t think incitement to violence on EITHER side is right. Calling for anyone’s death is too far.

Is this "sickening"? It depends, doesn't it? Are these three women mocking Muslim women or Islam or the niqab? The first would be unacceptable. But it's 100% legal and acceptable to mock any religion, including Islam, and it's absolutely right to mock a disgusting item of clothing that dehumanises and degrades women - and is a cultural/political garment worn by fewer than 1/10 of Muslim women globally and mostly in countries where it's legally imposed by men. These things are all different, aren't they?

Once again, the far right are mobilising on the streets of London. Hate will never divide us. I am proud to represent one of the most diverse and welcoming constituencies in the world where over 180 languages are spoken. Let's stand united as a community, for hope not hate.
