@cibeesh And the money which a seafarer earn while working 14 hours a day for 6 months on ship is literally less than what people in good companies are earning by working 8 hours a day for 11 months and they get 40+ paid leaves, work life balance and mental peace.

@cibeesh Shipping is the most unsafe career in India bcz there are 0 strict labour laws & nobody cares about the employees. Each & every company in this field is behind money, Government is not interested to keep an eye on these huge corporations and the seafarers are collateral damage.

Shipping is still one of the profession worth considering for youngsters, only do your research prior joining. In this internet oriented world it is easy to get all info but also talk to few people in the industry as it is equally important.
