“Bhai, I drive honestly all day… why are you treating me like a criminal?” That’s what Nitesh Dwivedi kept saying with tears in his eyes. Nitesh works as a driver in Delhi. Like every normal day, he had taken a passenger and parked his vehicle near a metro station. Suddenly, a few police officers arrived. “Show your first-aid kit.” Nitesh immediately showed it. Then they asked for his driving licence. Nitesh opened DigiLocker and showed the digital licence issued under government rules. But the officer refused. “We don’t accept all this. Show the original document in hand.” Nitesh tried explaining calmly that DigiLocker documents are legally valid in India. The officer didn’t listen. Instead, the situation became more aggressive. According to Nitesh, the officer started threatening him — saying the vehicle would be seized and he would be sent to court. Then things turned humiliating. The officer allegedly grabbed Nitesh by the ear and pushed him. A hardworking driver who had spent the entire day earning barely ₹3000 eventually broke down and cried. And the worst part? Nitesh claims the money he earned that day was also taken away. Sadly, many online drivers in Delhi are now sharing similar experiences. They say they are often harassed despite carrying valid DigiLocker documents, and are pressured simply because they don’t have physical originals with them. A system meant to protect citizens should never become a reason for fear.

India becoming one of @Walmart’s fastest-growing sourcing hubs says a lot about how global supply chains are shifting. Companies today want resilient manufacturing partners, stronger supplier ecosystems and digitally connected businesses. India’s combination of entrepreneurial energy, manufacturing scale and platforms like @Flipkart and @PhonePe is helping create exactly that environment.
Walmart News@WalmartNews

Thank you, Hon’ble Prime Minister @narendramodi, for the thoughtful discussion on India’s growth and innovation journey. We’re proud to support India through exports, opportunities for businesses, and continued investment in @Flipkart and @PhonePe. We’re excited for what’s ahead. - John Furner @PMOIndia

@piyushbodaa This is a fantastic idea, equivalent of Ayushman Bharat but for education. Sure some frauds will happen but still much better than the entire system. Though villages may still need govt support. Hope some states try this as education is state subject.

Only School Vouchers can fix this ! Instead of constructing government schools, setting up boards, hiring babus and teachers and doing everything miserably, The government should send the money spent per pupil directly to the parents in the form of school vouchers Once that happens, parents would be empowered to enrol their kids in private schools who will provide for such basic amenities but also give high quality education

Bengal should go on an infrastructure building spree for the next 5 years. Spend all the money there. That will generate employment directly and get businesses back also. As @sanjeevsanyal wrote recently, the rise of Kolkata is a necessity for the Eastern part of India to rise

@prathgodbole Biggest problem with left wing is they are full of people who just share random propoganda. World actually deserves better liberals. The current lot we have is not competent. World is moving right, because left has lost its mind. Either extremes are bad...

Just left Hyderabad after a visit to the financial district in Gacchibowli. The transformation of this empty land into the thriving hub it is today is the foresight of @ncbn. The setting up of @ISBedu , #Irdai and the tech sector has spawned a whole new ecosystem. The smell of growth and buzz is in the very air! I'm contrasting it to the gloomy conversations about ghost towns and shutting main streets in parts of UK and US I heard recently at the Delphi Economic Forum. Growth is good.

I have spoken to a lot of first-time property owners and almost all of them make the same mistake. They hand over the management too early. They think that is what smart owners do. But what they are actually doing is giving away control before they even understand what they are giving away. You cannot manage a manager if you do not know what good management looks like. Learn it first. Then delegate.

Met a doctor in Delhi, around 35 years old, whose entire portfolio was just NiftyBees. Since I had gone for a consultation, I didn’t give much gyan 😄 but told him one thing personally, I wouldn’t go all in only on Nifty50 at this age. His logic was simple: someone advised him to buy only Nifty50 ETFs to avoid MF distribution fees and keep things passive. Fair point. But ideally, at that age, a portfolio should also have some exposure to midcaps & smallcaps. He may still be right in the long run, but personally I wouldn’t suggest a 100% Nifty50 only approach to someone in their early earning years.
