From the elderly to young children, and even infants cradled in their mothers’ arms, devotees gathered in large numbers at Karsha Monastery, #Zanskar, for a sacred glimpse of the Holy Relics of Tathagata Buddha. The continuous stream of devotees throughout the day reflected the profound spiritual reverence and deep faith associated with the Holy Relics. The relocated exposition in Zanskar brought together people across generations in an atmosphere of devotion, prayer, and quiet reflection, underscoring the enduring spiritual and cultural significance of the Buddha’s teachings in the Himalayan region.

The largest of the big cats, the Tiger is a powerful predator found across forests, grasslands, and mangroves.
It helps keep ecosystems in balance by regulating prey and maintaining natural systems.
Across several communities, the tiger is revered as both a deity and a guardian of the forest.
Where the tiger endures, ecosystems remain alive.

In Canada, a cat was trapped inside a house during a fire. Firefighters entered the house to rescue the cat, but no matter what they did, the cat wouldn’t come out. Instead, it meowed at a firefighter and tried to lead him toward the kitchen. The firefighter followed the cat 😿
The cat stopped in front of a cabinet in the kitchen and tapped on it with its paws, asking for it to be opened. When the firefighter opened the cabinet, he saw that the mother cat had hidden her kitten there to protect it from the fire 🐾. The mother cat showed the firefighter where her baby was, making sure it would be rescued 🥺❤️
Truly emotional moments… A mother’s heart always thinks of her child first, even in the hardest times 💔❤️🩹

"I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service. I acted and behold, service was joy."
Literature laureate Rabindranath Tagore dedicated his life to poetry, art and music, composing the Indian national anthem and the national anthem of Bangladesh.
On his 165th birthday, we remember the genius poet, musician, artist, philosopher and social reformer - Rabindranath Tagore.
A Nobel laureate, Tagore is revered not only for his art but also for the change he brought in education and his worldview of peace and harmony.
"Jana Gana Mana" (Bengali: [ɟənə gəɳə mənə]) is the national anthem of India, originally composed in Bengali by poet Rabindranath Tagore, who was awarded the #NobelPrize in Literature in 1913.

Mark Twain Loved Cats More Than People -
Mark Twain, also known as Samuel Clemens, was a famous American writer who truly loved cats. He was a "cat person" through and through. He once said, "I just can’t resist a cat, especially a purring one. They are the cleanest, cleverest, and smartest things I know – other than the girl you love, of course."
At one point, Twain had up to 19 cats! Each had a unique name, like Apollinaris, Beelzebub, Blatherskite, Buffalo Bill, Satan, Sin, Sour Mash, Tammany, Zoroaster, Soapy Sal, and Pestilence. Twain loved cats more than most people, and he didn’t understand why everyone else didn’t feel the same way. "When a man loves cats, I am his friend and comrade, no introduction needed," he once said.
One of his cats, named Bambino, went missing once. Bambino was a black cat that originally belonged to Twain’s daughter, Clara. Twain was so eager to find him that he put an ad in the *New York American*, offering a $5 reward for Bambino’s return to his home on 5th Avenue in New York City. Twain described Bambino as "large and intensely black, with thick, soft fur and a little white patch on his chest." Even though many people showed up with cats that didn’t match, Bambino eventually found his way home.
From his early years in Hannibal, Missouri, to his last days in Connecticut, Twain was always surrounded by cats, and they even appeared in some of his books, like *The Innocents Abroad*, *Roughing It*, *The Adventures of Tom Sawyer*, *A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court*, and *Pudd’nhead Wilson*.

Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand
If you’re not familiar with these three countries, prepare to be surprised !
Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand are often grouped together as “emerging Asia,” but each represents a very different economic model, with global implications that are often overlooked.
INDONESIA: resources + industrial ambition
* World’s largest coal exporter (~30%+ of global exports): Critical for global energy security
- Holds ~20–25% of global nickel reserves (critical for EV batteries)
- Shifting from raw exports to processing (nickel export bans): “No nickel, no EV” Indonesia sits at the core of the EV supply chain
- Home to the largest Muslim population (~240M): 12–13% of the global total and larger than the entire Middle East combined
- Palm oil production ~55–60% of global production: Used in food, cosmetics, and biofuels
- Largest archipelago in the world: 17,000+ islands
- Near one of the world’s most critical trade routes: Close to the Strait of Malacca ~20–30% of global trade passes through this corridor
PHILIPPINES: labor + services + global workforce
- World’s 2nd largest nickel producer after Indonesia: Critical for the EV battery supply chain
- Asia’s largest predominantly Christian country (~85–90%)
- A major destination for Western expats (especially American and British)
- ~25% of the world’s seafarers are Filipino
- Remittances ~10% of GDP: $40 B+ annually
- BPO (call center) giant: 1.5M+ employees- Major outsourcing hub for the U.S.
- 7,600+ islands: Challenging logistics, but strong tourism potential
- Highly vulnerable to climate risks: Typhoons, floods, earthquakes
- Young population advantage: Median age ~25 !!!
THAILAND: manufacturing + exports + industrial base
- Known as the “Detroit of Asia”: Produces ~2 million vehicles annually and over 50% of production is exported
- One of the world’s largest rice exporters: Top 3 globally
- One of the more diversified industrial bases in ASEAN: electronics + automotive + chemicals
- Tourism powerhouse: ~40 million tourists (pre-Covid)
This is not one story, it is three distinct economic models, and these are only part of the picture.
Indonesia >> resources
Philippines >> labor & services
Thailand >> manufacturing

Held very productive discussions with Chancellor Stocker of Austria. We in India are glad that he selected our nation as his first destination to visit outside Europe after he assumed office. This reflects his vision and commitment to India-Austria relations. Equally special is the fact that this is the first visit by an Austrian Chancellor in four decades. His visit also comes in the wake of the historic India-EU Free Trade Agreement, which has ushered in a new chapter in India-EU ties.

MESSAGE
I wholeheartedly endorse the powerful appeal for peace made by the Holy Father, Pope Leo, during his Palm Sunday Mass. His call for the laying down of arms and the renunciation of violence resonated profoundly with me, as it speaks to the very essence of what all major religions teach.
Indeed, whether we look to Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism, Judaism or any of the world's great spiritual traditions, the message is fundamentally the same: love, compassion, tolerance, and self-discipline. Violence finds no true home in any of these teachings. History has shown us time and again that violence only begets more violence and is never a lasting foundation for peace.
An enduring resolution to conflict, including the ones we see in the Middle East or between Russia and Ukraine, must be rooted in dialogue, diplomacy and mutual respect — approached with the understanding that, at the deepest level, we are all brothers and sisters.
I urge for and pray that the violence and conflicts may soon come to an end.
