In Harichandanpur Block of Keonjhar district, the women members of Udyogi Farmer Producer Company Limited (FPC) are successfully managing the Udyogi Agri Mall ensuring farmers have easy access to quality seeds, mulching sheets, plant nutrients, and other essential farm inputs. The women independently manage the outlet, from maintaining stock to serving farmers. Established under the Agriculture Production Cluster (APC) Programme with support from Mission Shakti, the agri mall has become a trusted source while creating opportunities for women to grow as rural entrepreneurs. The District Level Coordination Committee (DLCC) meeting on the Agriculture Production Cluster (APC) Programme was held in Rayagada on July 22, 2026, under the chairmanship of the Additional District Magistrate (ADM). The Deputy Director of Horticulture (DDH), officials from line departments, APC partner NGOs, and the Programme Secretariat, PRADAN, participated in the meeting. The committee set the roadmap for FY 2026–27 after reviewing progress during FY 2025–26. It prioritized strengthening inter-departmental convergence, expanding irrigation and farm mechanization, promoting large-scale cultivation of pulse crops, oilseeds and aromatic paddy, vegetable cultivation, fruit plantation, marigold cultivation, livestock management, and increasing household coverage under mushroom cultivation. Women farmers of Maa Mutyaluma Producer Group, supported by the Department of Mission Shakti, have taken up potato seed multiplication (mini-tuber to G1) under the Agriculture Production Cluster (APC) Programme at Bilaput village in Mujang Gram Panchayat, Dasamantapur Block of Koraput district. The women farmers have started cultivating disease-free G0 (Generation Zero) mini-tubers, provided by the International Potato Center (CIP) and the Directorate of Horticulture, Government of Odisha, to produce G1 (first field generation) seed tubers. Facilitated by APC partner CYSD, the intervention aims to supply quality seed tubers to farmers through the Dangararani Farmer Producer Company (FPC), while improving potato productivity and enhancing farmers' incomes. The outlet offers a wide range of quality agri inputs, including cereal seeds, vegetable seeds, cattle feed, broiler feed, feeders, and drinkers, catering to the diverse needs of farmers. The Agriculture Production Cluster (APC) Programme in Jharsuguda marked an important milestone with the signing of a 5-year extension Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 6 July 2026 between the Additional Director of Horticulture (ADH), the Chief Development Officer-cum-Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad (CDO-cum-EO, ZP), and PRADAN. As the kharif season gains momentum, Milit Utthan Producer Company Ltd. in Muribahal Block, Balangir, is helping farmers prepare for the season through its Agri Input Mall. Under the Agriculture Production Cluster (APC) Programme, supported by Mission Shakti, the centre has facilitated the sale of agricultural inputs worth ₹19.50 lakh during FY 2026–27 (April to date). Serving as a one-stop centre for quality agricultural inputs, the outlet, through its Business Promoters and Agri-Entrepreneurs, is ensuring cultivators have timely access to essential farm inputs. Under the Agriculture Production Cluster (APC) Program, our partners YCDA in Loisingha Block and Harsha Trust in Gudvella Block organised training drives on community nursery preparation following scientific practices, during the last week of June. Across both blocks, women farmers from multiple Producer Groups took part in hands-on training sessions on nursery bed preparation, seed treatment, sowing techniques, irrigation scheduling, and seedling protection, building their technical know-how in raising healthy community nurseries. Under the Agriculture Production Cluster Program, Singha Bahini Farmer Producer Company Ltd., Patana Block, Keonjhar, supported by Mission Shakti, has recorded a business turnover of ₹57 lakh in FY 2026–27 (April to date) through its Agri Input Mall. The FPC operates through its authorised sale point, backed by Business Promoters and Agri-Entrepreneurs, ensuring timely access to quality agricultural inputs. These include paddy and vegetable seeds, grafted brinjal, tomato, bitter gourd, and chilli saplings, mulching sheets, bio-fertilisers, and its own vermicompost. PRADAN, as the APC Partner, is providing technical support to strengthen the initiative.
