Saying women are women because of gametes, or DNA, or any other physical characteristic is biological essentialism not feminism.

You can no longer search for "Lolita" on Facebook, because the system thinks the search "might be associated with child sexual abuse." So you can't search for the novel by Nabokov, the film by Kubrick, or the play starring Donald Sutherland. Because everybody loves a Pedo Panic

@Jess_did_it_x According to Rowling, when cis women wear women’s clothes, hair and makeup they’re gender norms, but when trans women wear them they’re gender stereotypes.

Look who's gender identity came out to play. In JK Rowling's head perhaps girls don't use skateboards? Or maybe they're just wearing men's clothes when they slip on a hoodie? You know, cross dressing. Like a fetishist. Except she won't say that, because women can't be fetishists.

@brookelynn74 @mojo_surfer @jk_rowling @sharrond62 I’m sorry for your loss, Angela. It’s a lovely photo. And your kids must be very proud to have a mum who speaks up for what she believes is right in the face of waves of verbal abuse and ridicule from people who are pathologically lacking in empathy.

To all media… we are watching you closely. Misinformation, deliberate gaslighting, and ambiguous language is not excusable, you have been told relentlessly and very clearly by the IOC; the policy applies to males not being allowed in the female category, for integrity, safety, fairness and equality of opportunity of females in their category. It’s that’s simple. Feelings and personal identities have no place in sport, just biological reality.

I used to think woke mobs would be the death of Twitter. Then it seemed like right-wing goons would be. But cheery, vapid AI-generated replies seem more dangerous than either of them.

The Hollywood Reporter
Johnny Flynn, set to take on the role of Lucius Malfoy in HBO’s #HarryPotter series, discusses criticism around author J.K. Rowling’s anti-trans stance, and “the welcoming environment” on set. “Obviously, there's quite a lot of stuff around Jo [J.K.] Rowling. I suppose that's been quite interesting to navigate, the conversations there — but all important conversations to have,” Flynn told @THR. “The people working on this are really, really great and create a really special atmosphere, [like] Francesca [Gardiner] the showrunner, and Mark Mylod and various directors. There's such care. I'm basically not in the first book. Lucius is hardly in book one at all, but I'm in the first series. So it's quite a thing to go do a day and then have a month or so [off] and come back and everybody's got these really tight relationships. But it's such a welcoming environment.” 🔗: hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-n…

@leslie_grischow @dickydickypand1 @THR Every female inmate locked in a cell with a penis'd roommate matters. That small number of ftm cops affect women. Fighting to allow rape victims privacy from skeevy cross dressers does deny them their right to voyeurism but that's a sacrifice some women are ready to make.

@HeatherEHeying Are you able to explain how the “system” facilitated this mass shooting without sounding deranged yourself?

Mass murderer Jesse Van Rootselaar had long been known to be mentally deranged. 6 years ago, at 12yo, he began identifying as female. This option was fed to him by a system unhooked from reality. A system that prides itself on empathy. A system that facilitates murder.
Róisín Michaux@RoisinMichaux

I think if we looked back at pre-transmania mass shooters we would find a lot of young men who fit the AGP/autist/oddball/too-online archetype, except trans wasn’t a thing yet. Meaning: being trans (taking hormones etc) is not causing mass shootings. But the people who commit mass shootings are the same people drawn to trans, now that it’s a thing that these maladaptors can identify into it.

WTF. The Canadian police announced that they're RESPECTING the preferred pronouns of a transgender mass shooter because he identified himself as a female. You can make this sh*t up.

@TheatreSpoonie We can always tell. With you, the language gives it away immediately—especially when you argue for scrapping single-sex spaces. Your arguments rely on erasing sexed realities, something women notice because we live with the consequences but you clearly don’t.

Apparently if you disagree with an anonymous TERF, you must be a man. I thought they could always tell? I thought sex was immutable in their ideology? But apparently I'm a man for simply standing up for human rights and against patriarchal dehumanisation of women.

@tiffanylloree @mtracey @JackPosobiec Who is “they”? Are you so stupid as to think something said by random people on the internet is comparable to it being said by an elected official? Just to remind you, this was the reaction from actual prominent Democrats:

They did. They celebrated, they’ve tormented his widow and danced on his grave. Most of them even celebrated the attempted assassination of Trump last year. Stop with your holier than thou attitude. Those people are more demonic than TRUMP could ever even imagine being. He’s taken more arrows from them, Rob being one of the biggest, than anyone in history.

@Humblewank @Fussball5645 @Telegraph @Glinner You deserve credit for this. It’s astoundingly rare on Twitter to see anyone acknowledge that they may have been wrong/mistaken, instead of the usual doubling down or deflecting, so fair play to you.

@Fussball5645 @Telegraph @Glinner I mean, interviewing someone who has been through a similar experience to you doesn't mean that you agree with stuff they've done. But fair enough, I definitely accept that's valid criticism. I'm at fault here, thanks for clarifying.

@GhostJemima @BobbyTimeclock @Zennistrad @theserfstv The reason to portray homosexual relationships is that they exist, and to prohibit their portrayal would be a form of censorship. While there are types of content that are censored in media for children (eg. smoking, violence), there’s good reason for each. What’s your reason?

@apmeehan @BobbyTimeclock @Zennistrad @theserfstv Is it that hard to give one positive reason that homosexual relationships should be portrayed towards kids in mass media? You have not one good thing to say in favor of this? No, you don't, and there's no rule against pointing that out.
