@arvaigabor_ @Sheehuurthey @SwipeWright I would use a weighted sum of different sexual properties (using numerical sign to indicate male/female). Most people would score near max negative of max positive, but definitely not all.

Hasan Piker's subreddit moderators are removing posts that link to my scholarly article "Why There Are Exactly Two Sexes" in threads discussing whether trans people can actually change their sex. I know the deleted post contained a link to my article because Altmetric had already catalogued it, and the link takes me to the deleted comment.

The Supreme Court has ruled that under UK law, trans people never had the rights people like you insisted they had. You misrepresented the law and cheered on the removal of women’s rights. Trans people have lost nothing except the mistaken belief you fostered.
Rachel Millward@rachelmillward

Today my heart is with our trans community, treated so abysmally in this country. Draft guidance means trans people are barred from services they could previously access & inclusive service providers will be at legal risk. Green Party statement: greenparty.org.uk/2026/05/22/sia…

The European Court of Justice has taken the unprecedented step of ruling that a Hungarian law, which says under 18s cannot change their gender, broke the founding values of the EU Treaty, meaning it is "incompatible with the EU's fundamental identity" bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Is Peter Magyar ready to deny the human sex binary in exchange for cash? One big reason why Peter Magyar defeated Viktor Orban in Sunday’s Hungarian election is because he promised to unblock billions in EU funds that the economy desperately needs. The European Commission wants reforms first, mostly relating to corruption and asylum, before they’re willing to transfer the cash from various funding pots. Among the conditions for unblocking the money is a repeal of some of Orban’s more contentious social innovations, including the definition of sex as being binary, as well as the ban on exposing kids to LGBTIQ+ themes in school and in the media. There are also rulings from the EU’s highest court that directly concern Hungary’s lack of a sex falsification law (Deldits and Shipov) which Orban ignored. The LGBTIQ+ lobbying machine is no doubt currently insisting that their close friends in the Commission make these issues a priority in negotiations with Magyar. To what extent is Magyar, and Brussels, willing to poke this particular bear, with everything that’s at stake? Sign up to my newsletter to keep up to date on this evolving story. See bio.

Can someone make a case from first principles that more viewpoint diversity would be better in itself, or is that just something we’ve been trained to say (and think)? If restrictions are loose and the platform is open, and a certain group or perspective succeeds…what’s the problem? Do you also want viewpoint diversity about the answer to “what’s 2 + 2”?

More viewpoint diversity would be better, but that's impossible to create when one side actively rejects it. Before Elon bought Twitter, the right created alternative platforms out of necessity because the left severely censored right-wing views. When Elon bought Twitter, the left voluntarily created alternative platforms specifically to avoid contact with right-wing views, not because they were being censored. So when leftists criticize X for its users skewing right, that's their own fault. They could always just... start posting on X to balance things out. Bluesky is even more ideologically skewed than X, but to the left. But the right isn't able to meaningfully increase viewpoint diversity there because they get banned for uttering basic facts.

These are the Twitter/X accounts with the most engagement so far in 2026. I suppose I had some intuition for how bad it was, but jeez, this is what you get when the ecosystem is broken.

To mark Trans Day of Visibility, let’s have a look at the most ghastly study in the entire field of gender “medicine.” Standard phalloplasty — where a surgeon fashions an appendage made out of a woman’s forearm and sews it onto her groin — involves the surgical removal of the vagina. As in they actually remove the vaginal wall and sew the woman up. Colpectomy is the scientific name for this ghoulish crime. But this particular team of ghouls were researching new techniques because most of the young women having their forearms sewn onto their groins these days are virgins and that makes surgical access for their vagina removal more difficult. Instead of stopping and asking themselves — “hang on a minute, why are we removing the vaginas of young mentally ill women who haven’t even had a single sexual encounter yet?” — they set about developing a laparoscopic technique so their crime against humanity can continue unabated. And, as if that weren’t horrifying enough, one of the “benefits” of harvesting the tissue of the vaginal wall is that it can be used as an extra layer in the arm-flesh appendage to reduce the likelihood of urinary fistulas, which result in urine leaking out through one or more unintended openings. These surgeons deserve no less than Nuremberg-level visibility.

Vikings didn't have Christianity forced on them. They chose it because Odin betrayed them. The Icelandic sagas are mostly concerned with bloody feuds (they're great by the way - read some). In one of them, the Icelanders noticed that some of the murders were not starting to be about whether people were Christian or Pagan. So they got together at a Thing (look it up) and decided they had to get rid of this cause of dissension. Either they ALL had to go back to Pagan or they ALL had to become Christian. They went to the wisest man in Iceland, who was a Pagan, and said he had to decide for the whole island. He went off on his own to ponder the question for three days. When he returned, he said everyone had to be Christian, and he was baptized too. From then on, the Icelandic sagas only recorded murders for more important reasons than religion. (Illo from Njall's saga which is amazeballs.)

Neo-Pagans have sometimes forgotten, when they set out to do everything that the old pagans did, that the final thing the old pagans did was to get christened.

🚨Another day, another credulous article regurgitating thoroughly debunked sex pseudoscience. This new piece in the @the_hindu claims this species of sparrow has "four distinct sexes." So what's their evidence? Well... they introduce a brand new concept called "mating sexes," which is really just an ideological rebranding of what biologists call alternative mating morphs. According to this article, the bird's 4 sexes are: -white-striped male -white-striped female -tan-striped male -tan striped female Notice anything? Yeah, each morph is still either male or female, not a distinct third or fourth sex. In fact, the article only refers to males and females, and uses the terms "BOTH sexes" and "OPPOSITE sex," which don't make any sense in a system that supposedly has 4 sexes. No, this sparrow doesn't have 4 sexes. It has, like every other anisogamous species, only two sexes—male and female. That's because there are only individuals with the function of producing either sperm or ova. It's really quite simple.

The word 'Islamophobia' prejudges the whole issue The West allows criticism of organised religion Think of Thomas Paine in the 18th century, who listed mistakes in the Christian bible ! If Islam can't take criticism, it should stay in the countries where so-called 'blasphemy' is illegal

The Rust-re-write of sudo has decided to prioritize “user experience” over security. “Change the default so that asterisks are shown when entering passwords.” … “Security is theoretically worse since password lengths are exposed to people watching your screen, but this is an infinitesimal benefit far outweighed by the UX issue.” This change has already been included in the upcoming release of Ubuntu 26.04, scheduled to ship in April. github.com/trifectatechfo…

My friend took a tour of the Balkans and came back saying he saw why they were so messed up. Every nation thought it needed to have the same borders as when it was at its largest. Hungary wanted Transylvania. Bulgarian wanted its outlet to the Aegean. Etc. The most deranged was a depressed Macedonian guy who told him, “By rights, Macedonia should control Greece, Turkey, Persia, and Egypt, as it did under Alexander.”

Russia had and has a lot of human and scientific potential. They could have gone from huts to space travel without murdering 20 million of their people and sending another 20 million into the horror of the gulags. Communism hindered and worsened everything Russia did and it’s a testament to their national character that they accomplished as much as they did with the burden of Marxism strangling them.

@SwipeWright @salltweets This is a pretty weak argument. Khalief was born with a vagina and raised as a woman in a Muslim country. Of course she thinks of herself as a woman. Your position that once she gets the chromosome test, she should no longer compete in women's sports is reasonable, but

Alejandra Caraballo, a Harvard Law School clinical instructor and trans activist, is unable to make sense of my position regarding Algerian boxer Imane Khelif. So let me clarify. I don't care how Khelif thinks about himself. I don't care if he maintains or abandons his female identity after taking a chromosome test. All I care about is that he not compete in the female category, because he is not female. He is male. That's my entire position, and I've articulated it many times. It really shouldn't be difficult for a Harvard Law School instructor to understand.
