Is that all? Thousands of innocent lives were slaughtered by jihadis, and we spoke about it for a single day before moving on. We have failed as a humanity. I am ashamed to call myself Syrian. As a Christian Assyrian and a survivor of genocide, this dark memory will haunt me forever-for failing to bring justice to the people I lived alongside, the people I grew up with. For the past 12 years, I have worn black, ever since the jihadis killed my first cousin, who was like a brother and my closest friend. He died defending the Christians in Maaloula after the jihadis took 12 nuns hostage. I will wear black for the rest of my life, a reminder of all the innocent souls slaughtered by the jihadis and of my failure to bring them justice. From the bottom of my heart, I am sorry.

can’t be bothered to tell you the whole history of al-Jolani, but in short, al-Baghdadi sent him to Syria where he established Jabhat al-Nusra in 2011. At the time, there was the Islamic State in Iraq and Jabhat al-Nusra, and later they united to become the Islamic State in Iraq and al-Sham. After that, disagreements arose, and al-Jolani split off and founded Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham. But he is the one responsible for bringing and establishing ISIS in Syria. And don’t forget that al-Baghdadi was killed in Idlib, which was under al-Jolani’s control.

A video from Suwayda, filmed recently, shows extremist Bedouin militias linked to the Ministry of Defense burning the Shrine of Jesus Christ, a sacred Christian site in the city. Minorities are being exterminated in Syria. These bloodthirsty jihadist terrorists cannot be trusted. They have once again violated the ceasefire—not just ignored it, but weaponized it—as a pretext to storm the city of Suwayda. What’s happening on the ground is nothing short of a nightmare. Lifeless bodies lie in the streets. Black smoke chokes the sky as homes burn to the ground. This is a humanitarian catastrophe—and the world is doing nothing. These terrorists proudly broadcast their crimes: footage of destruction, mass executions, homes in flames, and even the beheading of unarmed civilians. They are not hiding their atrocities—they are celebrating them. This is one of the most horrific massacres of our time, unfolding in broad daylight. To the international community: Where are you? How many more must die before you act? How long will the world watch in silence as an entire population is hunted and erased? We are calling on every human rights organization, every government, every voice of conscience—act now. Stop the bloodshed. Protect the innocent. Hold the perpetrators accountable. History will remember those who stood by and did nothing.

After Jolani’s government failed to take control of Suwayda, it started sending remnants of ISIS, jihadist fighters, and even its own members dressed in civilian clothes to kill Druze civilians. At the same time, media outlets loyal to his extremist government have been spreading false reports, claiming that Druze villages are committing massacres against Bedouins. Their goal is to stir up sectarian tensions, create chaos among Syrians, and distract from their own crimes against civilians in Suwayda. What’s even more dangerous is that the government has admitted it’s unable to control the situation, effectively opening the door for Israeli intervention and giving it an excuse to occupy more land in southern Syria.
