The real U.S. fertility story is the massive drop in fertility among women in their 20s. The birth rate for women in their 20s has fallen nearly 40% over the past two decades. This is the group that has carried the most weight in determining the direction of the overall fertility rate. As we all know, women's prime fertility window is in their 20s, not 30s or 40s. Relying on women to catch up their fertility in their 40s is not going to help much. @FamStudies:

Worth noting: tens of thousands of Americans on holiday travel are currently stranded across the Caribbean as airspace restrictions shut down flights in and out of Puerto Rico, Aruba, Barbados, and nearby countries.

Como consecuencia, la mayoría de los vuelos comerciales desde y hacia SJU operados por aerolíneas estadounidenses se encuentran suspendidos o podrían ser cancelados temporalmente. Las aerolíneas extranjeras y aeronaves militares no están incluidas en esta restricción. @MadOldMoai My kids can’t get home from Puerto Rico because the Cheto in charge close the airspace and they can’t get a flight. They got a flight tomorrow but it connects through Miami. No direct flights until Wednesday and those cost $3000. There’s many who should be in jail right now
