This is the most deeply researched piece on the state of First Nation land claims in BC (including the land thefts that sparked them) I've seen yet. Focuses on metro Vancouver, but is emblematic of the province: 25 FN's here have filed title claims, but none are pursuing court action. All are negotiating instead. Remember when everyone thought the feds handed the whole city of Vancouver over to Musqueam? Yeah, no. Hats off to @Gordon_Hoekstra

Proud to be running as part of the OneCity Builders. With the Progressive Victory Agreement in place, building a strong, aligned team matters more than ever.

"Since winning the 2024 election, Trump has called for the U.S. to annex Canada, Greenland & the Panama Canal Zone, threatened to send American forces into Mexico to fight drug cartels and, on Saturday, would not rule out attacking Cuba." It's exhausting. theglobeandmail.com/gift/843cd3b03…

Donald Trump’s actions in Venezuela do not make America safer, stronger, or more affordable. That Maduro is a brutal, illegitimate dictator does not change the fact that this action was both unlawful and unwise. We’ve seen this movie before. Wars for regime change or oil that are sold as strength but turn into chaos, and American families pay the price. The American people do not want this, and they are tired of being lied to. This is not about drugs or democracy. It is about oil and Donald Trump’s desire to play the regional strongman. If he cared about either, he wouldn’t pardon a convicted drug trafficker or sideline Venezuela’s legitimate opposition while pursuing deals with Maduro’s cronies. The President is putting troops at risk, spending billions, destabilizing a region, and offering no legal authority, no exit plan, and no benefit at home. America needs leadership whose priorities are lowering costs for working families, enforcing the rule of law, strengthening alliances, and — most importantly — putting the American people first.

I've noticed that Reddit is very consistently negative about everything. No matter the topic, the dominant way people talk about anything is always extremely negative and critical. It's one reason I've never really used the site. Why is this?

While John and I disagreed strongly on many things, I have great respect for his commitment to public service and for speaking his mind. I wish him and his wife Kim all the best.

The ruling class wins when workers are divided. I’m running for leader of the NDP to build a movement that unites us and puts power back in the hands of working people. ✊ youtube.com/watch?v=if_TRB… #canpoli #canlab #rob4leader

Shout-out to @Rob_T_E_Ashton as he runs for NDP leader. He supported my family at a celebration of life last year. Me being upset, after kind condolences, he had a perfect Q to help: "uh, so, how about #bcpoli?" I laughed so hard I cried. 😆 Good guy & interesting one to watch.

1/ Criminals are targeting families and businesses in B.C. with intimidation and violence. This is extortion. No one should have to live under that kind of fear. 🧵

Hey @Uber_Support — I have reported these fraudulent charges through your platform to no avail. I have now contacted my credit card company. Pretty obvious from looking at these they are fraud and it’s shocking to me your platform didn’t flag and your support team won’t assist.
