This is where the “tax the rich” crowd lose me.
Say I earn 90k a year and in 2027 I inherit $200,000
I invest that $200k and after 10 years in the stock market it’s now worth $400k
If I sell it and realise the $200k capital gain, what the govt and the “tax the rich” crowd are saying is that I should be taxed as if I make $290k every year.
Now if I try and split that CGT income across 2 people I’m “greedy” and avoiding tax
But if I sell down in 4x $100k lots over 4 years and minimise my tax, that’s ok and nobody bats an eyelid - but it’s the same principle.

Don't forget, Gold was a SOV built on technology. From picks and shovels to mining operations that keep trying to improve. Whoever could use the tech of the day to find and mine the most efficiently was the most rewarded. Much like Crypto is today. Gold is dead Peter. Move on.

Okay I'll admit it. Until Massie's interview with Tucker, I had deduced from attack ads against him that Trump's Big Beautiful Bill banned taxpayer-funded sex changes for minors. I knew Massie voted against the bill, and I knew that he doesn't support sex changes for minors.
What I didn't know is that this provision was dropped from the bill in the Senate before the final vote. Meaning every Republican who voted for the bill voted to CONTINUE funding sex changes for minors 😂
Massie was the only Republican who voted against funding this crap.. because he voted against the OBBB 😂😂

Rep. Steven Cohen (D-TN) - a white dude - has represented Memphis in Congress for nearly 20 years.
During his tenure, Republicans nominated a BLACK WOMAN as their choice FIVE times.
Democrats could have elected a black woman but she was the wrong political persuasion. So, my question to the black Democrats - did you deny Charlotte Bergmann her seat in Congress because of her skin color or her gender?
Facts matter.
Memphis Democrats loathe black Republicans more than they do white Republicans.

Your neighbor earns $1,000,000 and pays $300,000 in tax.
Your neighbor is paying 10X more than you.
If taxes were fair, you should both pay $30,000, since you both receive the same government services.
