Agriculture's big message problem is that the general public is so easily fooled by enticing misinformation. And they don't know enough, or don't care enough, about the details to understand why the enticing misinformation won't work, or will increase their food prices, etc.

The decimation of ground-nesting wildlife in Britain is principally down to the modern practice of cutting of grass for ‘silage’ in spring. Lapwings, curlews, skylarks, hares, grass snakes, all minced to oblivion. For this reason, Spain has mostly banned cutting grass in May.

@wessexagronomy Ag is very depressing place to be right now! We should be seen as part of a solution not the 'problem' as we currently are! As you say we need to change how some things are done BUT not overnight and not by soley penalising Ag, the whole supply/processing chain needs to change!
