Here’s how bad this rookie class is. I just offered this: 🔸1.03 for 1.04 and a 2027 3rd And he countered with: 🔸1.03 for 1.04 and 2.07 this year

@LateRoundQB Brazzell should have been updated to a "Flex Play" in the post-draft version, correct?

WRs with a Rookie Super Model rank 30+ higher than their draft pick rank: Marvin Mims Jr. ❌ DK Metcalf ✅ Nico Collins ✅ Troy Franklin ❌ Amon-Ra St. Brown ✅ Elijah Sarratt ⁉️ Not perfect, but we have gotten some massive hits out of the group, y'all! Based on top-120 picks

@jocko11811 @jmthrivept How many Super Bowl titles could they have won if Lynch didn't have such a horrendous Day 1 and Day 2 draft record? This is a franchise that counts Lombardis, and hasn't won in over three decades.

@jmthrivept I do understand what you are saying here (it’s a critique of draft value…taking players you want before you need to, implicitly having a high opportunity cost) But the prime objective is winning so this does read really funny

It is within reason to say that if the 49ers weren’t winning the way that they are, John Lynch would not be an acting GM at this time. No other GM would survive this. It’s ridiculous.
Warren Sharp@SharpFootball

I evaluated the last 4 years of John Lynch drafts his performance: 2023: #31 2024: #28 2025: #31 2026: #32 after the draft, Lynch claimed he knows better than everyone else the data shows he doesn’t I went thru every single "reach" he made it's gross sharpfootballanalysis.com/analysis/john-…

@Endzone51 @jmthrivept Don't act naive. They spent a ton in FA 2 years ago and again this year. They spent huge amounts most years resigning their own players, which include stars they did not draft like Williams and CMC. Their roster is devoid of young talent because their Day 1/2 picks are terrible.

@jmthrivept "Requires money in free agency." 49ers spent in the bottom half of the league in free agency in 4 of the last 5 years.

@AJGullotta @LombardiHimself @jmthrivept so clearly the rosters arent dogshit if they are winning year after year you fucking moron if anything last year should be a testament to how well Lynch picks players if stars went down left and right and the 49ers still were one win away from the number 1 seed in the conference

@kenkdouble @LombardiHimself @jmthrivept It's sad how good they might have been without wasting so many draft picks, or do you like going 12-5 and still being ground up by the Seahawks?

@ikenyonFB That's fair, especially with teams with bad draft records, but a ton of the highly ranked guys wash out in the league, so the draft is a crapshoot and you may as well grab the guys you like? It feels like so many 'can't miss" guys on draft pros boards miss.

People can diss the consensus board all they want, and teams *should* operate off their own rankings. BUT… 1. If youre taking the 240th guy on the consensus board at 100. You should trade down and take him. It’s just bad resource management. 2. If your board consistently has guys ranked 100 slots off consensus, maybe your board sucks.
Cory@fakecorykinnan

Jaguars are reading the consensus board upside down

@AlterdCoal94 @su11yboy @dat_javi @ikenyonFB You are arguing without looking at the evidence. The 49ers have been wasting their Day 1 and Day 2 picks for years. They've been good because Shanahan can coach the shit out anyone. They've probably cost themselves multiple Super Bowl titles from wasting so much draft capital.

@su11yboy @dat_javi @ikenyonFB Yet they have lost a lot of games when Jimmy G was hurt. No matter the HC you need players. And they have gotten players. Very well over the years

@1standtuna @ikenyonFB So teams don't miss on guys when they "reach"? In fact, it's proven they miss more consistently.

@ikenyonFB So the media doesn’t miss on guys? If the media has a “consensus” undraftable player grade even though 12 teams want to draft you in the 4th, don’t reach? Lol Should a guy just not get drafted then because he’s a “reach” according to us internet nerds?

@ikenyonFB Let's just talk hypotheticals here. Let's say you really want a guy, and you are seeing a run on the same types of players, but the board says he isn't valued at this spot. Do you say, "Well, the board says I shouldn't pick here so I guess I can't" or do you say "Well... we want

@pompanoj @espn You really don't have a clue, do you? Homegrown? What is homegrown in this day and age? And your inane comment implies that four players were one-year "rentals" the way you use the word transfers. The entire core of that team is home grown. Deal with it.

@espn And 5 transfers on the team.... only 2 of these 6 are homegrown UCLA players. College sports has become "buy a team", particularly in non-revenue sports. Go out and buy 4 pro level athletes and win a championship. Not that expensive for womens BB. Really cheap for softball
