Americans dissing India is lame. India is not a first world country, we get it. But at least they’re trying and getting better. What are we doing? Not trying and getting worse.

I believe in India because I saw China transform in a way that I never thought possible. Yeah the buildings and trains are amazing, but the way people behaved changed completely. If China could, why can’t India? People blame genetics for behaviors that are driven by culture and incentives. India has a lot of disadvantages that China did not have: - more chaotic government - more languages, less national identity - AI poses a greater threat to their industries But India also has advantages that China did not have: - better English language skills (also can be a negative) - more accomplished diaspora who can return - rising in an era without a clear hegemonic power The things I see people mock India for, I saw firsthand in tier 3 city China 15 years ago. I watched a chef drop a wok of rice on the floor and put the rice right back into the wok. I saw a pile of manure that got dumped in the downtown. Broken glass and sharp wires at neck height everywhere. Gutter oil! Restaurants cooking with used oil from other restaurants. Is India more dysfunctional in states like Bihar than this? Yes, but I think they can fix it, just needs time, education, and different incentives. Will they match China? No one will ever, but they can be unique and great in their own Indian way.

🇯🇵 Something I'm noticing more and more on X. When we were young, we were told that the Western world looked down on us. But almost all of the anti-Japanese posts come here from developing countries. I have to say that being on X has made me much more pro-Western.

The government is now requiring banks to verify citizenship and legal status for accounts. At the same time, ICE is sending illegal aliens formal notices that they owe money for failing to leave the country after final removal orders. 1,000 a day some owe millions- and they have been told this. Here is where I am going to tip- toe into something wonderful that might be on the horizon that sews all this up nicely. Put those two things together and the next logical step becomes clear. Once the accounts tied to people with standing deportation orders, or who cannot prove citizenship are identified, the Treasury, I believe, will almost certainly move to seize those funds and any property associated with them. This would include VISA overstays who are technically not legal. Their bank accounts, their cars, their homes, their businesses will all be seized. They won’t announce it in advance. They don’t want to give anyone a heads-up or time to move money offshore. This is how you start clawing back what was taken from American taxpayers - money spent on benefits, healthcare, education, and enforcement that never should have been necessary in the first place. IF THERE IS ONE THING OUR GOVERNMENT IS GREAT AT - IT IS SEIZING ASSETS Oh...guess what? They have already done this in the past but the next move could be epic. For years we watched not billions, but Trillions flow out in remittances, welfare, and uncompensated care while American workers got pushed aside. Identifying the accounts is the first real step toward reversing that flow. The pattern is straightforward: enforce the law, locate the assets, recover what belongs to the American people. Oh and guess who loves the idea of the government seizing property more than anyone else? Donald J Trump who used eminent domain repeatedly himself to build his empire. It’s not complicated. It’s just long overdue. Citations: U.S. Department of the Treasury. (2026, March). A 25-year-old teacher spent three-and-a-half hours having sex with a 17-year-old boy at her home while her husband was away hunting, with newly unearthed text messages detailing their disturbing relationship. McKenna Kindred, who is now 27, flirted with the boy for months before sleeping with him at her home in Spokane, Washington, in November 2022. Gossip about the encounter spread around Central Valley High School, where Kindred worked and where the teen was known among friends as being 'addicted to sex.' An unidentified friend got into one of the boy's Instagram accounts, where they discovered Kindred saying: 'I was sad when you had to leave my room... when other girls talk about you in my class I could feel myself getting mad.' Kindred also alluded to encounters at school with the boy, texting him to say: 'We almost got caught. I was sad when that student walked in when he did. I wanted you to hold me. I really like being touched by you.' The friend who hacked the teen's Instagram account took photos of the messages and reported it to a teacher, who called Spokane Valley Police. Kindred was arrested and admitted first-degree sexual misconduct in March 2024. The age of consent in Washington State is 16 but authority figures can still be charged with sexually abusing children up to the age of 18 who are in their care. Kindred was sentenced to 24 months' probation and ordered to sign the sex offenders' register for 10 years. She is still with her lawyer husband Kyle and the couple live in a stunning $500,000 home, the Daily Mail revealed earlier this month. Kindred's phone underwent a forensic examination after her arrest. Around the time she had sex with the boy he sent her a message saying 'Mom glad I can satisfy you' Kindred liked the message, with the teen then asking if she had used a sex toy while thinking about him. She replied: 'I did.' He texted her saying 'U should have video it and save it' so he could watch, with Kindred replying: 'Hm next time I need to relearn Snapchat haha.' After Kindred's crimes were reported to police, the boy's mother Ashley Beckley provided investigators with further evidence. She said she had seen an explicit video her son had sent Kindred of himself and photos Kindred had sent him of her breasts. Ashley also told of how she had seen a message Kindred sent to her son where she talked about using a sex toy on herself. The boy was subsequently interviewed by police who told investigators that he started following Kindred on Instagram in June 2022 and that they'd exchanged messages. The pair sent each other photos of their privates, with Kindred inviting him over to the house she shared with her husband Kyle in November 2022. The teen says he got there between 6.30pm and 7pm and that he and Kindred began watching a movie, then kissed. The boy and Kindred went on to have sex on the couch for 10 minutes before moving to Kindred's bedroom. There, they continued having sex until 10pm that night. He said that they eventually 'finished' and returned to the living room where they 'hung out', before having a shower. He ended up leaving Kindred's home at 11.30pm that night. What are your thoughts on this story?

Dr. Rubeliz Bolivar Barrios was completing her residency in South Texas when ICE locked her away. Her colleagues call her Ruby. They say that as an emergency and trauma doctor, she serves every patient with empathy and dedication. Being bilingual, she makes people feel seen and heard. In the middle of a healthcare provider shortage in the Rio Grande Valley, it is unthinkable that ICE would keep Ruby locked away. Her 5 year-old daughter Milena and husband need her home. Her patients need her too. ICE should release Dr. Barrios immediately and allow her to continue her work helping people.

Been seeing a lot of posts about moving to Texas. The word Texas comes from Tejas, a Caddo Indian word for friends. We will welcome you. But in the spirit of that friendship, come with an open mind and heart. We have a lot of opportunities available and will gladly share them, but you need to be willing to buy into what we built. Do not bring California or NYC politics here. You are fleeing them for a reason. They are not welcome here and will serve no purpose but to destroy what we, and our ancestors, have grown. There are plenty of great things about this state... Don't try to ruin them

The 15 Latin Americans deported from the US to Kinshasa are holed up in a hotel by the airport, where there are water cuts, rats, and lots of mosquitoes. They have no passports, don't speak French, and have no idea what comes next. My story for @NPR: npr.org/2026/04/28/nx-…
