@DiscussingFilm I would suspect this is partly because on modern TVs it looks pretty terrible. No streamer wants to put a 720p film up, and there is zero point it being released on Blu-ray. Not to mess with the original aesthetic but I’m curious what an ai upscaler could do for this movie.

‘28 DAYS LATER’ is still not available on any streaming service or VOD platform. The DVD & Blu-Ray versions of the film are also out of print & can only currently be bought second-hand.

I went on the London Tube for the first time in months yesterday. It's so much worse than I remember it: kids jumping over ticket barriers in full view of staff, hitting stop buttons on escalators, starting on other passengers. Is this common or did I get unlucky?

@schuld_eth @InternetH0F CGI is expensive because of man hours involved. If you paid everyone in this a going rate for model building, transportation, location permits, camera work, equipment costs, editing, insurance etc you'd very quickly be into five figures, not $300.

In Prisoners (2013) for the hammer scene, Hugh Jackman was asked by Denis Villeneuve to be completely brutal for the next take. That take was used in the final film. He went off-script to improvise violent scene which caused Paul Dano to fall to ground.

@AdamRichman That looks like a duff version of a tuna jacket. The potato should still have some bite and not be floury or fluffy. Cheese should go between the spud and the tuna. The tuna shouldn’t be too wet, and the mayo-tuna ratio is very important.

Many drivers try to squeeze past in the same lane, but in many countries it is recommended they move into the other lane to pass.

This app called Sketch looks pretty awesome. It is like Figma, but it works when you are in a plane or on a train, uses native UI controls, and no data leaks to the interwebs. 😮🙃
