@BrodieOnLinux I plug my phone in like i'm reloading a gun. My Pixel 2 XL's usb C port is still alive. Cables break before the ports. The ports do gather grime which affects connectivity. They're not fragile though. A is much better still in terms of durability, but C isn't fragile.

USB A are cheap, and very robust. People who are obsessed with USB C never want to address the fact that it's a really fragile connector, nowhere near as bad Micro USB but in no world a replacement for USB A.
