@cekdrew It basically says: RE were discussed, China acknowledged the issue, and both sides will keep working on it. Not nothing, but not the same as a supply guarantee. Market is irrational, but hopefully not stupid to interpret this as bullish. Just my 2c.

@cekdrew That’s diplomatic language. Very different from saying China will suspend, will remove controls, or will guarantee supply. No deal, imo. By contrast, the Nov '25 WH fact sheet specifically said China would “effectively eliminate” export controls, issue general licenses, etc.

Are we cooked chat? VERY interesting language used here. “China will address U.S. concerns” …but what does that exactly mean? It’s incredibly open-ended, which makes it odd to see phrased this way in an official fact sheet. It doesn’t say that China will relax any restrictions or plans, but simply “address U.S. concerns.”

Early on in my career, I had one business and I was still figuring it out. The decisions in front of me felt like everything was on the line. I needed a model. Something that could make every call clearer, big or small. What I figured out: all decision-making is value clarification. It comes down to what’s most important to you. Two people can look at the same situation and make completely different calls. Both right. Because the answer always comes back to what you value most. Next time a decision doesn’t feel clear, run it through OOC-EMR.

@GeneInvesting @KlausMolle Can’t imagine there are many bcrx bulls nowadays? The company is about 30 years old. Only one commercially successful drug for all that time. Many failures, one of which was a big one in 2022/23. That’s when the thesis completely changed (at least for me).

Which is the funniest/craziest/most interesting part of the week? $NTLA $KALV - NTLA bears said there are few HAE breakthrough attacks and then Chiesi buys breakthrough attack pill for $1.9b 😂 $BCRX - Biocryst investors confusing current demand for Orladeyo with obvious (to all but them) diminishing demand moving forward 🤦🏻‍♂️ $BBIO - BridgeBio investors are some of the biggest NTLA haters and always complain about Intellia’s balance sheet/cash burn/expenses etc ($2.5b in traditional debt for BBIO versus $0) 🤷🏻‍♂️ $NTLA - simply looking at Week 36 would’ve given enough info to show that Lonvo-z Ph. 3 data is likely even better than Ph. 1/2. 👀

@GeneInvesting @KlausMolle No, it’s not, imo. Still, they’re selling smth like $500 million? With strict dosing requirements (due to GI tolerability). But they’re on the market for quite a while (can’t remember how long 😂), so it’s natural that the uptake (new pts) will slow down at some point.

@GeneInvesting @KlausMolle As far as I remember (though that’s questionable these days), they don’t have high retention rates until pts reach one year on Tx. But once they do, the retention rates are stable. These pts see their physicians twice a year - not many opportunities for a switch.

Few things 1. “Well” has a wide range. Many have breakthroughs with Orladeyo (bulls can’t use horrible ph. 3 data so they use extended study with fraction of original patients (huge survivor bias) 2. PHVS pill looks better so many who like pills will switch eventually 3. Many who are on Orladeyo now probably aren’t completely satisfied and will look for other options like IONS, NTLA

@GeneInvesting @KlausMolle Tony, I’m not following bcrx anymore, why do you think demand for Orla is/will be diminishing? These pts aren’t Intelia’s target. I mean, people who prefer (and are doing well on) oral vs. more effective injectables are unlikely to “subscribe” to gene Tx.

@RNAiAnalyst My husband also says it’s not unusual that partners have conflicts (on the same grounds - for not investing “enough” in marketing of a product). But it usually gets resolved before it escalates like this. Regardless, this seems to suggest Linda has high expectations from FDA
