THE “world’s loneliest” gorillas have been discovered inside an abandoned UK zoo that shut down more than three years ago. Urban explorers found the apes stuck behind glass in their enclosure at Bristol Zoo – which closed to the public in September 2022. Heartbreaking footage shows one of the gorillas tapping against the window as it desperately tries to get the visitor’s attention. The abandoned enclosure, which houses eight gorillas, is overrun with plants and surrounded by empty visitor buildings. Barney lives at the Dog’s Trust Merseyside, where his handler, Freya McVey, 30, an adoption advisor, takes good care of him. The site has about 40 staff members in all to take care of the 83 dogs. Let’s get this lovely boy a forever home

Crystal Palace have become the first club to open a dedicated support centre for players after they’ve been released from the academy. 👏 The idea is to limit the risk of mental health issues for released young men. 🙌 The three-year aftercare package will support released academy players in making a way of life, outside of football. Not only are the Eagles smashing it on the pitch, they are smashing it off the pitch. Great initiative. 🦅

Brave young Evertonians Mason, 11, and five-year-old Holly, who are both battling cancer, will help to lead the Blues out for the Premier League game against West Ham United. The fixture has been dedicated to the Bradley Lowery Foundation’s Cancer Has No Colours campaign, which raises vital awareness and funds for childhood cancer research. 💙

Wolves and Everton Supporters. Wolves fan Mitch Middleton has passed away peacefully after a long and brave battle with cancer. Those in attendance tomorrow night please join in with a minutes applause on the 29th minute as a mark of respect. RIP Mitch ❤️🐺
