Strangers are often excellent recipients of generosity, but we typically make such decisions based upon experience and other calculated judgements. When you extend generosity beyond your scope of discernment, recipients of your generosity are beyond accountability and awareness. At this point, generosity becomes irrational, as you no longer know what you are supporting in the world, this is the tipping point, and this is the problem with socialism and the great failure of California leadership.
