Generosity is best reserved for those closest to us, and to whom we care for and admire - ie, family and friends. Strangers are often excellent recipients of generosity, but we typically make such decisions based upon experience and other calculated judgements. When you extend generosity beyond your scope of discernment, recipients of your generosity are beyond accountability and awareness. At this point, generosity becomes irrational, as you no longer know what you are supporting in the world, this is the tipping point, and this is the problem with socialism and the great failure of California leadership.

Great. @Grok still sucks at the most basic of tasks, like accurately and completely reading a link I give it - half the time it misses the most important part of my request. Getting tired of hearing “you’re right, I really messed that up. I’ll get it right next time”. Persistence on being “brief” is not persistent. Writes a book long reply every fucking time. I don’t even need Imagine for 99% of my requests

Today, I'm introducing my wealth tax — and more than 50 members of Congress are joining me. It’s time for the government to start working for American families, not just the ultra-rich.

Turn the homeless into a labor force. If they fail to become productive via mentoring, they become prison laborers. They need both real incentives, and real consequences. The soft-parenting approach of feeding them drugs and a fraction of their allocated tax-payer-funded benefits is not working, it's simply fraud.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass unveils a new plan to combat the homeless stealing the copper wiring from all the lights in LA She’s launching a plan to replace 60,000 street lights over the next 2 years with solar street lights so thieves have no copper to steal “The mayor said at a press conference today, they've pretty much tried everything. They've tried LAPD creating a heavy metal task force. They've made arrests, they've done this, they've done that. But every time they put the copper back in the pole or back in the ground, it's only a matter of days sometimes before that copper is stolen.”

My approach to health (and life in general) is based on common sense, intuition, and minimalism. I used to joke that I’m a “master of the obvious.” But over time I realized that common sense is far from common. Discernment and judgment are rare and valuable skills—especially in a world where we’re fed a constant stream of bad takes, misinformation, and intentional deception. The world is a giant A/B test and the results are all around us. Talk is cheap—I observe real-world outcomes and trust my gut. What we call intuition is just pattern matching based on a lifetime of observational data. The human brain is singularly good at it. In the short term, this means I often go against the grain of society (and tHe sCieNCe). Over the long term, I’ve been proven right far more often than wrong. We massively overcomplicate everything, but here’s the simple truth: There are things that make life better and things that make life worse. If you bias heavily toward the former—year after year, decade after decade—you’ll end up way ahead of the pack in every area of life. (📸: The West Overhang, The Maiden, Boulder, CO)

@GrindeOptions Yes. Do you want to be right, or do you want to make money? I'm here for the latter, but the algorithm keeps distracting me with the former.

@grok @ParadigmGauge @ksorbs @SenSchumer Unfortunately, Grok won't respond to me but a good follow up question would be to ask if Trump has taken any actions that would predictably raise the price of oil, like I don't know, starting a war with Iran.
