Has anyone noticed that @LidlGB LIDL plus has gone from gold standard to trash bin with their new release. Old release- spend £250 get 10% off. New one spend £500 (1 point is £1) get £5 off. This excludes any special points but both had that. Prices go up, loyalty goes down.

@OhmeEV Doesn’t really fit the “automation” that the 21st century is promoting

@boydy_g If your supplier offers a one-off ultra-cheap or free charging window outside your usual hours, you can either temporarily update your tariff in the app so Ohme includes it, or use Max Charge to start charging straight away until your battery is full or you unplug. ⚡(2)

@OctopusEnergy Perfect. Thanks for the quick response. Looking forward to it. Hope @octowatch retweets this. Customer service that repairs. (Although to retweet with profile saying highlighting poor service, this was not)

Anyone else have an @OctopusEnergy app that shows this. The usage updates every day but the meter readings do not show. @OctopusEnergy have told me this is normal as they use a different way now, so why still have it on the app

@OctopusEnergy your graphs on the app seem to have jumped forward two hours instead of hopping into spring with one hour.

@CFSMotorRacing You’re not getting 30 years out of any modern diesel without spending big. The last diesels to offer that were running Lucas CAVs, the new stuff can’t touch that.

A petrol or Diesel will run for 30+ years with careful servicing and can have 300-400k miles, do you honestly expect an EV to do the same and still have full range, as new, at the end of that time? If its dropped to 25 miles range as a friends has its no good to man nor beast. The Petrol or Diesel may after then be a classic and worth more in fact. I know from observations that local dealers have massive trouble selling second hand EV's and have to cut the price many times and often make a loss. We have yet to see how the body, battery case, motors etc stand up to harsh UK winters and salt on the roads and how long the rest of cars last
Colin Walker@colinwalker79

🚨FACTCHECK! 🚨 The CLAIM: "after a few years the battery in an EV is worthless" The REALITY: "In the vast majority of cases, EV batteries are likely to exceed the lifespan of the vehicle itself"

OK..Happy to share because I know many in similar boat. I move into new home. I give Octopus my readings. I pay a set amount every month. After some months they inform me I have used way more than the fixed amount over winter ( i carefully used my heating..im in a 2 bed basement) I felt like a criminal..800 in debt now...heating debt. I agree a monthly payment to pay that down...so we are not at 200 This month they took 340 without my approval i have used the heating...it was extremely cold..i have heated blankets, plug in heaters and loads of clothes but the flat was getting kind of dank and needed heat ffs! so now I am a total fucking energy bill slave-criminal they are taking whatever they want apparently...so ill cancel the dd - i cannot budget if i'm going to get slammed

@EE seems to be hiding from their customers. A modern technology company who can’t have agents on text chat and any answers from X is to phone them. This is not service. This is put off the customer with long wait and pulling 3G and weakening 4G by spreading it further.

@OctopusEnergy So then there is no advantage to plugging one car in before another as the customer loses time on the later car. This then means Octopus are not getting a true reflection of Green time

@boydy_g Hey Graeme, it’ll be 6 hours of smart charging per day (regardless of how many EVs you have). There's lots more info here: octopus.energy/blog/intellige… but we're a DM away if you have any other Qs. 🐙⚡

@OctopusEnergy @duncsand How will this work with the 6 hour rule that is to be implemented? Example- car 1 is plugged in and uses 1 hour then car 2 comes home and plugs into a different charger and both cars then start charging. Does car 2 only get five hours? Or does it get 6 as well meaning cheap home

@g__j @OctopusEnergy phoned and spoke to advisor this morning (didn’t catch name). Quite a niche request and she nailed it. Knew exactly what to do and explained next steps. Bravo!

@ChargePlaceScot And in good old ChargePlace Scotland style, the page that tells you who is migrating and to where, mentioned in the FAQ is broken.

@peacocks your website still references longer delivery due to keeping safe with Covid but your delivery itself is still super slow. Not a good look.

@daraobriain what an excellent show. Last seen in Perth, Scotland when Asda carrier bags played a role. Tonight #HMTAbz had biros, Loch Mess monster turning pensioners and adopting whole family moments.
