I’m not *that* old. We had the internet when I was in college, but I still took all of my exams in person, including hand-written essays. This shouldn’t be that hard.

I find this discourse perplexing because the solution seems straigthforward: make university marks almost entirely dependent on lengthy in-person exams that combine handwritten essays with oral questioning. Why is this even a conversation? Are there implementation barriers or something?

The only reason Hegseth and Trump promote this lie about Biden sending troops to polling places is because they plan to do it themselves, as I warned last year. It's an emergency; the other guys did it first; illegals are voting, etc.

Pete Hegseth falsely testified to both the House and the Senate last week that troops were deployed to voting places in 15 states under Joe Biden in 2024. Not only were all National Guard activations for the 2024 election ordered by individual states rather than Biden, all 11 states that responded to my inquiries told me that *zero troops* were sent to voting places. A great lesson to learn

There is a very formative moment for many young people where, once you start to get into more serious rooms, you quickly realize just how human everyone is. Many of the “accomplished elders” who seem put together and like they have it all figured out, are in reality, also still trying to figure it out. They know a lot, they have reps and experience, but things like insecurity and imposter syndrome tend to stick around. Many older men aren’t used to being challenged in any way and as a result, can react poorly to it. Many people put on a facade of having it figured out when they are just as unsure of the future as I am. Many people struggle to show vulnerability or admit when they don’t know or feel backed into a corner. These are human characteristics, and regardless of power, access, or experience, they seem to stick around.

Chris Coons then asked every nominee in the room to confirm the Constitution bars a third term. Silence. Every single one of them refused to say it. The Republican gaslighting on ‘violent rhetoric’ is ludicrous. Yes, Democrats call Donald Trump a threat to democracy. He still denies the 2020 election and a lot of his party has gone along with it. There’s a reason Republicans hide from reporters - they can’t answer for Trump dancing on the graves of his political enemies or calling Democrats ‘the enemy within’, ‘traitors’, or the ‘party of hate, evil, and Satan.’ And for those that actually care about reality, the majority of political violence comes from the right. It’s clear as day.
