@wilreynolds Pop quiz: Q: What do these 3 have in common?
Wilt Chamberlain
Russell Westbrook
Google
A: all 3 were well known stat padders.
(and when you ck that fact in Google, just note how many of the links go to Google)

@RyanJones Asking them to focus on a single snow flake instead of the blizzard? Most feel "semantic relevance" is baked in the content creation process. Many see it as asking them to bolt it on after the fact. Change "semantic relevance" to "Topical Authority" and it gets peoples attention.

@iPullRank @GoogleAIStudio It's quite the high isn't it? Mind blowing to watch it run the first time you start it up.

Pretty sure I could sit here and make apps in @GoogleAIStudio all day.

It's true - it's really happening - I think it will be a huge behind-the-scenes SEO topic this year: searchengineworld.com/pruning-1-the-…

@SethRubenstein @jeffr0 65-75% of the sites built with Wordpress would be classified as "mom and pop" as that is how many are less than 100 pages of content.
English

@jeffr0 This will turn out like every other “all-in-ai-first” pronuncements. Zero thought on long term maintenance and security. This might be fine for small mom and pop projects, but anything else it’s quite frankly irresponsible.
English

@jeffr0 Off hand I wasn't. Then I needed a rebuild for a site and did the template in stock html/css. It aced core-web-vitals on desktop with perfect score and wicked fast. So I am sure thinking about it now.

@brodieseo Nah - they will strip it for parts and leave it for dead. They want the contacts, crawl tech, and crawl db.

@CyrusShepard @semrush @ahrefs remains the only large, independent SEO tool suite on the market? How about @sistrix?
English

Wow. Did not see this coming. First of all, congrats to the @semrush team.
"Adobe is acquiring Semrush in a 1.9 billion deal" 😮
As someone who has both collaborated/competed with the Semrush team since they were much smaller, and someone who has gone through an acquisition (Ziff Davis > Moz), I have some thoughts + predictions:
• Adobe is known for an increasingly terrible + predatory subscription model - I fear what might happen to Semrush subscription costs 💸
• Adobe is calling AI Search "GEO" - SEOs who don't like this term are fighting an uphill battle against Adobe's massive marketing + messaging platforms 🥊
• Adobe's marketing tools lean towards ENTERPRISE (AEM, Adobe Analytics). If Adobe leans this way with Semrush, it may be a less attractive solution to smaller operators. 🤷
• With this acquisition, @ahrefs remains the only large, independent SEO tool suite on the market. Ahrefs is able to move fast and innovate - I suspect this creates an opportunity for Ahrefs - not a problem 🚀
What do you think will happen to the SEO tool landscape?

English

@CyrusShepard @semrush I wonder... I really just wonder if they they didn't buy it for the crawl tech and database only and don't care a rats behind about the seo aspects. They'll bastardize it for adobe analytics .... after all, a $billion to adobe is an barely an appetizer.

@gaganghotra_ big diff between "looking forward" and "keeping an eye on the competition"

@OfficialLoganK Yes G3 is a really nice iteration. On the other hand, AntiGravity is 2hrs of my life I will never get back.
