@giulio_mattioli We stand for a balanced energy network that leverages all sources to reduce oil usage where possible, and increase efficiency where it can’t. We recognise the role oil and gas has in that, because we are scientists that use all the data, not just “data du jour!”

Germany has this concept of "Leitkultur": the "leading (original German) culture" to which foreigners ought to assimilate. Often in opposition to the concept of multi-culturalism. The German conservative leader has just proclaimed that "buying a Christmas tree" is part of it 🤦‍♂️

Without it, one cannot rule out the manipulation of other variables (not saying they did). Given previous exaggerated claims - such as with Full-Self Driving in 2016 - skepticism is warranted.
