@Hei20X its also important to remember a lot of anime from japan is still DOGSHIT. So it's unfair to expect most chinese shows to be good. But the biggest real detractor is that the chinese voice acting is often pretty grating compared to japanese which audibly flows much better

@Hei20X i'd recommend watching the to be hero franchises. china can't copy anime (thats why chinese "anime" is regarded as bad), but it's capable of making it's own good shows. the first to be hero is pretty absurd, but To be Heroine is a fairly serious story, and to be hero x is shiny

When I was a kid, my dad and I bemoaned the endless shitty rap flooding the radio station we liked, and I suggested the government create a licensing system for artists so we could stop the bad ones. Naturally, he thought this was a terrible idea, and over the years I came to agree with him But when you see movies like The Odyssey, Joker 2, True Detective Night Country, etc, you start to imagine what the world would be like if we could imprison or publicly flog directors who inflict this dogshit slop on us

The Odyssey in IMAX vs. regular screens. So much of the film is lost on a regular screen. Nolan did a disservice to the majority of viewers who don't have access to IMAX.

My father destroyed my first ever razer deathadder mouse that I bought for myself because I was playing video games and he didnt like that. He threw it against the wall, broke into like 5 pieces. I was 18 at that time I think, shortly after that I stopped sleeping at home and gradually avoided my family. I basically treated my family home as a hotel that I sometimes slept at. An indie developer is asking Valve to change Steam’s 2-hour refund policy after more than 55,000 players refunded his game after finishing it. The developer says his co-op game, Paddle Paddle Paddle, can be completed in under two hours. Because of that, many players finished the game, asked for a refund, and even left reviews saying they enjoyed it but got their money back anyway. According to the developer, the game has over 90% positive reviews, but the high number of refunds is making it much harder for a short indie game to be successful. Steam currently lets players get a refund if they bought a game within the last 14 days and played it for less than two hours.
