@hpesoj88 @peterfrankopan For it to be beneficial to these companies it would have to be higher than the trend line. Saying that it’s ’higher than the beginning of the year’ is par for the course. If this is actually better for the companies it should break the trend to the upside.
English

Quick follow up question. Within a few months if the stock market is at all-time highs, Apple is higher than it was at the beginning of the year etc.. Will you post that you were wrong about Trump? Or will you say the stock market doesn’t mean much and there are other economic markers that are equally or more important?

@kylenabecker Don’t see him as much anymore but that guy who did a scene on Home Alone.

I went to Coles the other day and #PayID was down. You could still pay with Cash and physical credit cards but you couldn’t use phones.
Loaded baskets and trolleys being left everywhere near the checkouts and there was a constant flow of people returning from the car park where they’d grabbed their wallets. Some didn’t return lol.
It was quite amazing how many people actual use PayID on their phones. It’s more common than I realized. One of the staff said it was a massive percentage of people that use PayID and it had been chaos all morning.
When they want to take cash away and make it all digital it’s not going to be very hard. Scary!

@ase63series1978 @DavidZipper Newer is better. Bigger is not better for things that are smaller e.g. humans, bicycles, other cars.
English

@DavidZipper Can you give me crash test data on a 76 Chevy Vega? There is lots of old brake distance data from motor trend or car and driver New cars brake in a much shorter distance in every weather despite being heavier, and when that fails they crash so much safer. Newer is better.

@TheLege2 @AvidCommentator Sure. As well as solar, wind and hydro. The time when we can’t rely on coal profits is coming and we are not prepared.
English

@calrowston @AvidCommentator They could have done something like phase in nuclear power, but 'nuclear' is inexplicably still a swearword in these parts.
It's coming whether we like it or not.
English

@GuyDealership The Mach-e is far too comparable to a Model Y but more expensive.
English

@TheLege2 @AvidCommentator Put another way: previous administrations have not set us up for a future without coal.
English

@AvidCommentator Very true. However, the get-out-of-jail card for Straya has always been the resources industry ...
That said, with the current administration's antipathy toward coal they could be about to destroy the goose that lays the golden egg. Watch this space ...

@jimbojames1 @DaveTaylorNews Once upon a time we were good at health and research. We should have been investing mining profits into more of it.
English

@DaveTaylorNews Time to roll up our sleeves and do something constructive again outside of digging stuff up and lazily trading houses amongst ourselves perhaps. A massive reset will do wonders for us all.
English

@jimbojames1 @DaveTaylorNews We have the wrong government in power for that kind of thing.
English

@dmhg2000 @samjackgilmore @10s_20s @AlexSaundersAU @cjoye You pay double stamp duty if you own any property elsewhere in the world.
English

@samjackgilmore @10s_20s @AlexSaundersAU @cjoye Even though there's a lot of dodgy and technically legal foreign money buying property in Oz, with the UK you've left out the fact that there's practically no restrictions on foreigners buying property there.
English

@johns_sez96510 @AvidCommentator I didn’t realise the tax cuts originated from Labor.
English

@AvidCommentator The Labor Government are just making the problem worse, National Wage case , Phase 3 tax cuts are/will add to inflation. This is on top of their reckless spending. Dr "I am the expert" Chalmers seems to have no idea how to manage inflation and just wants to blame Lowe!!!
English

@PeteNorth303 Well done. You’ve achieved the tweet with the highest number of false claims known to man.
