Sen. Tom Cotton blocking permanent Daylight Saving Time is the right call.
Permanent DST would take a bad situation and make it worse for millions. Especially those on the western edges of their timezone. The standardized time zone system already forces a mismatch between clock time and solar time, and DST locks in a bigger one.
In the Eastern Time Zone, solar noon, when the sun is at its highest point in the sky, is aligned near the 75th meridian in the Philadelphia area. By western Michigan or western Indiana, solar noon already arrives after 1pm on the clock during standard time. With DST, that shifts to after 2pm.
Your body still expects light cues from the sun in reference to the actual solar time, but the schedule runs on a clock set for a meridian far to the east. This creates geographically based “social jetlag”.

BREAKING: The House has passed legislation to make Daylight Saving Time permanent nationwide, ending the twice-a-year clock changes by a 308-117 vote. Backed by President Trump, the bill now heads to the Senate. If approved and signed into law, Americans would no longer have to change their clocks.

The aviary contraceptive is called Nicarbazin
It is used in basically all broiler chickens so essentially every fast food place uses them
McDonald’s, KFC, Burger King, Wendy’s, Popeyes, Subway, Arby’s and more
It’s also found in school lunches. The FDA says it’s safe when approved for use in chickens as long as it’s not used within a certain point before harvesting the chickens

I don't understand these pastors who use sabbaticals to take an egregious amount of time off of work. Stop complaining about how hard you have it. I have two elders who work 6 days a week and have to work by 4:30am, sometimes earlier. One drives a truck and another works at a concrete plant. How could I possibly look them in the eye and request time off for months on end? Outrageous.
