@SelenaC10705 You could counter with actual arguments based in fact, but that's not your strong suit. Maybe that's why you never got the job for D4 in the first place. (It was gracious of you to volunteer.)

I’ve believed in reuse, recycling, and reducing our carbon footprint since I was a kid, and I still live that way, teaching my kids the same.
Over time, my approach to climate solutions has matured. I focus on practical solutions people can actually share, like better public transit, alternative options, and continued education, not extremes.
Then came the permanent closure of the Great Highway, the fake “environmental victory” that took away the safest, most direct route for commuters.
The result? Cars stuck in congested roads longer, more pollution, longer commutes, higher risk, and over 14,000 cars impacted every day. Do the math, that's 3+ minutes x 14,000+ daily = whole lotta extra in unnecessary pollution.
Immediately after the manipulated election that permanently closed the Great Highway, SFMTA cut Muni service, added stop signs and speed bumps, and rolled out “traffic calming” measures while San Francisco is facing a deep deficit, with the main intent of making drivers’ commutes a nightmare.
SFMTA knows people don’t just disappear. Closing the Great Highway permanently simply redirects cars to other routes.
No money for anything… unless it fits their agenda.
The lobbyists' excuses kept evolving, from snowy plovers, environmental concerns, open space, more parks...you name it, as long as it sounded nice to harvest votes.
Meanwhile, people like Joel Engardio and Lucas Lux aren’t saving the environment, they’re serving lobbyists and funding their next career moves.
Real change? Not on their agenda. Cleaner energy, reliable transit, smoother access? Nah. Instead, they sold the illusion of “better for the environment” while worsening congestion and pollution.
The Great Highway Compromise works.
The permanent closure? Pure refusal to share. The argument that “you can drive on other streets” is laughable, so why can’t you bike or walk on other streets instead of the only highway on Westside? That’s not sharing, that’s hypocrisy.
Real progress comes from listening, learning, and working together. The permanent closure of the Great Highway did the opposite.

@SelenaC10705 Have you considered walking around with a cross? Tis the season.
English

@SelenaC10705 Yes on K said it was 3-5 min. You said it 15-20. The Chron and the Standard said it was 3-5 minutes. You lied. Over and over and over. You're still lying. Take the L. By the way, how's the signature gathering coming? Lightning ain't striking twice.
English

@cfreud And 3+ means something. Let me know if "+" is confusing.
English

@SelenaC10705 Throughout our exchanges, you've always played fast and loose with facts. This is no different. What's funny of late is that you're getting ratio-ed by other people.
English

@cfreud I’m using Joel Engardio and Lucas Lux’s claim of 3 minutes (×14,000 cars). It isn’t one-size-fits-all, and they’re absolutely using the lowest possible number to justify their claims. Use your own “stuck time.” Mine is definitely more than 3 minutes, way more.
English

@bryanculbertson @SelenaC10705 Bryan, compromise is a big word for Selana and she still doesn't use it properly. Give her another four years.
English

@SelenaC10705 One small section of permanent car-free beach IS the compromise
Allowing cars to sometimes drive thru Sunset Dunes would require destroying much of the park, because then Parks & Rec would have to remove the park amenities and spend millions keeping it completely clear of sand

English

@FightinHydrant You give Logan Webb 15 runs, he can be tough. (I fully understand the irony of that statement.)
English

@SelenaC10705 @bryanculbertson @AbbyNormalSF @LarryQ6 @mudagainstawall Excuse me? During the campaign for Sunset Dunes, The Standard was part of the evil cabal not telling the truth? Now it is telling the truth? And the Standard is now telling the truth with AI generated images?
English

@bryanculbertson @AbbyNormalSF @LarryQ6 @mudagainstawall The truth is SF Standard knows a lot.
Are you saying there's no plan for skyscrapers in D4?
English

@repeatingbeats @LarryQ6 @SelenaC10705 @AbbyNormalSF @bryanculbertson @mudagainstawall Thank you. Voting to take something away is a lot different than voting for something. ... Especially when the electorate will have already had things taken away by high prices and insurance. This is bad strategy whatever one thinks of Sunset Dunes.
English

@LarryQ6 @cfreud @SelenaC10705 @AbbyNormalSF @bryanculbertson @mudagainstawall How much time have you spent at Sunset Dunes on weekday evenings? "pitiful uptake" does not describe what I have seen at all.
I guess we see this differently. If this makes the ballot, I am fully expecting to see the park supported at even higher levels than Yes on K.
English

@SelenaC10705 @bryanculbertson Your evidence are illustrations for an offbeat op-ed? Do you understand that computer-generated images are not real life?
English

Joel Engardio and Lucas Lux want the moon, and they expect taxpayers to pay for it.
The “visionary park” sold to SF voters was a lie.
Joel Engardio and Lucas Lux promised SF the wealthy private sector would pay for the park and its maintenance. Instead, the duo worked with City Hall insiders to spend taxpayer money while Lucas Lux collected nonprofit donations.
The Great Highway is still an asphalt road after permanent closure, and it will remain one for emergency vehicles.

English

@SelenaC10705 @AbbyNormalSF @LarryQ6 @bryanculbertson @mudagainstawall My ears are burning. Funny how certain people mute me but still talk about me. Interesting. While we're here, will there be another vote? I don't sense this momentum.
English

I’m going back to refresh on some articles. It looks like building 2 Millennium Tower style skyscrapers near the SF Zoo was already part of someone's plan in 2024. It's interesting how city departments and public servants hid from the community while strategizing against the people.
They keep ignoring the demand for improving infrastructure and public safety, while some public servants worked nonstop to strip life-saving requirements just to boost developer profits.
Residents asked for better public transportation. Instead, SFMTA announced Muni cuts right after SF voters were misled into voting for the permanent closure of the Great Highway.
People don’t disappear after a permanent closure, and improving public transportation should be a no-brainer. Instead, public servants and city departments did the opposite, almost as if keeping communities divided and distracted is their goal, so no one has the time to pay attention and hold them accountable for ignoring reasonable requests for infrastructure and transit.

English

@cfreud @SelenaC10705 Yes, it is 100% a crime. Closing the Great Highway was a heinous, tyrannical act.
English

Some of the comments are interesting. Instead of discussing the issue, it has turned into personal attacks from strangers who don’t even know me. For those who are wondering 😮💨 Yes, immigrants also read and speak English, and that skill is not reserved for the privileged or the entitled. Good day.
English

@cfreud @SelenaC10705 For closing the Great Highway. Duh. I don't care if he's gay or whatever - that's none of my damn business. I only care about the Highway.
English

It’s interesting how Chris can say “this is the last time” over and over, yet keep coming back with the same recycled lies.
At some point, it stops being disagreement and starts looking like obsession.
Chris brings the same claims, the same lies, and the same dramatic exits followed by predictable returns.
Hypocrisy speaks louder than any accusation you try to throw. Say what you mean, stand by it, or stop pretending each “last word” is actually the last.
I kept my word. Bye means bye.

English

@steakdriven @SelenaC10705 For what? (Answer: Nothing.) This is the hate. D4 didn't like a gay guy as supe. That's the real issue.
English

@SelenaC10705 @cfreud Joel Engardio should be sent to prison.
He is a piece of shit.
