Another day, another lawsuit over someone saying 'Jesus' in an email. If a secretary sent a generic 'Happy Diwali' or Ramadan greeting, would we be clutching pearls over 'proselytizing'? People are allowed to have faith and share it casually without it being a federal crime. This feels more like targeting conservatives than protecting the Constitution

@SpeakerDonScott Justice Kelsey’s term expires Jan. 31, 2027 . Democrats should put down a marker now that he will not get another term and that we will go back to the Court in 2027 to seek to overturn this ruling for 2028 once a new justice is seated.

@hissgoescobra @NormOrnstein We need authentic heroes too. His heroism stands in stark contrast to Trump’s cowardice. I think this might partly explain why MAGA hates him so much. I am ashamed that my country’s government has turned its back on him.

I don’t know what this world would be like without him right now. I like to think that another Ukrainian would’ve stepped into the breach, but the fact is we need authentic leaders so bad right now. And he’s always stood tall on principle. God bless him.

I have just spoken with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam. I expressed France’s full solidarity in the face of the indiscriminate strikes carried out by Israel in Lebanon today, which resulted in a very high number of civilian casualties. We condemn these strikes in the strongest possible terms. They pose a direct threat to the sustainability of the ceasefire that has just been reached. Lebanon must be fully covered by it. I reiterated the need to preserve Lebanon’s territorial integrity and France’s determination to support the efforts of the Lebanese authorities to uphold the country’s sovereignty and implement the Hezbollah disarmament plan.

A friend of mine in Virginia sent me this *wildly* deceptive text he got from Justice for Democracy PAC—a dark money GOP group based out of Iowa.

@StateDept Maybe it was unwise to treat our allies as enemies for a year before asking them to help us and to treat our enemies—Russia- as an ally. Perhaps unwise also to not try to get our allies on board before launching an unwise war.

SECRETARY RUBIO: The U.S. is constantly asked to help in wars and we have. But when we had a need, it didn’t get positive responses from NATO. A couple leaders said that Iran was not Europe’s war. Well, Ukraine isn’t our war, yet we’ve contributed more to that fight than anyone.
