Evangelicals are the only religious group where a majority do not agree with these 3 statements: Abortion should be legal Gay and lesbian people should be allowed to marry Homosexuality should be accepted by society

My wife and I both had been oversees and seen folks (me in Turkey and Greece, my wife in Indonesia) in those cultures do it. We then snagged a book on it and then... just did it. At the time, we were already weird (no one else we knew did home births, etc.) as it was 20 some years ago... so we just had to kind of wing it and learn.

Toddlers aren’t meant to use diapers Proctor and Gamble propagandized everyone to delay potty training so they could sell more starting in the ‘50s But our baby is 2 years old and we have used maybe 5 diapers in the past 6 months @oliveoilqueen starting potty training at 6 weeks old Easiest way to reduce the cost and waste of diapers is to just train babies early
Wellness Mama@WellnessMama

Every disposable diaper ever made is still in a landfill. Every single one. 400–500 years to break down. A founder just spent 4.5 years working with fungi scientists to change that... starting with baby diapers. New episode with @twinmiki🎙️🍄 - wellnessmama.com/podcast/1037/

@modus_tactica It’s a trade of something presumably valuable. You’re not necessarily winning. Doing good faith business with an overt enemy is foolish. This, devoid of considerations for the employees of the company or how integral your service is to people you care about, I think suffices.

Leon Podles wrote about a longstanding failure in pastors which made them less than respectable to working men: "Businessmen disdained the clergy as “people halfway between men and women.” Ministers found the most congenial environment, not in businesses, political clubs, or saloons, but “in the Sunday school, the parlor, the library, among women and those who flattered and resembled them.” Moreover, they were typically recruited from the ranks of weak, sickly boys with indoor tastes who stayed at home with their mothers and came to identify with the feminine world of religion. The popular mind often joined “the idea of ill health with the clerical image.” — The Church Impotent

Years ago, during a difficult season of life, my wife and I were speaking with a godly older woman in her home. She had just buried her mother. When she asked what our life plans were, I expressed frustration. We were stuck in limbo. I was experiencing decision fatigue. "How often have you prayed about this, Eric? Your Father in Heaven loves you, and He answers your prayers. Do you believe this? Christ gave blind men sight. Raised the dead. Do you pray like you believe it?" It was such a humble, chastening moment—and a precious reminder of the power of a godly, wise woman in the Christian body. Women do not need to hold political office, have a big podcast, or a career to have tremendous influence upon their people, even upon the nation. They do indeed influence their men in many astonishing ways. They do so by being the older woman from Titus 2.

Historically, actors/actresses were little more than prostitutes. Today, actor/actress is one of the few jobs we still permit children to do. I’m sure we shouldn’t read anything into that.

It’s going unnoticed because so much other news is happening, but the war drums are beating again in D.C. The warmongers worry this is their last chance to get the white whale they’ve been chasing for thirty years, an all-out regime change war against Iran. A new Middle East war would be a catastrophic mistake. Our military stockpiles are depleted from three years of backing Ukraine. Our effort to reshore manufacturing has only just begun and will take years to bear fruit. War would worsen our already immense deficit and national debt. Iran is larger than Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan combined. A war would not be easy and could easily become a calamity. Thanks to President Trump’s restraint during his first term, America has a golden opportunity to pull away from Middle East quagmires for good. We shouldn’t throw that opportunity away so that sone D.C. has-beens can feel tough by sending young Americans to die yet again.
