The Trump administration begged the Supreme Court to let it stop giving families food benefits. Now they’re trying to claw back what they already paid.  Why are they so hellbent on making sure families can’t afford dinner?

@atrupar Disagree. I think they want only the compliant to remain. The lack of response shows that the higherups know their role.

Trump wraps up a speech to military leaders that represented a major escalation of his effort to weaponize the armed forces into a tool he can use to violently quash domestic dissent. Hard to imagine how anyone with a shred of dignity can keep serving after this, which of course is the point.

It’s fine (correct even) to say you don’t care what a 17 year old did, but don’t insult our intelligence by acting like it’s hard to understand what “African American” means. That’s the box you check if you’re black, and Mamdani isn’t black.

@jowrotethis Collin’s at least was no. Usually she is the worst. Murkowsko knows how bad it is, she just got her state exempted from cuts and gave the rest of the country the middle finger. Even worse in my view.

@Clarksterh @dylanmatt @tylercowen @SpeakerPelosi As a kidney donor to my husband I would respectfully disagree. Two years ago this month and he is still living a normal life. Daily pills yes, but works full time and can travel etc. No comparison economically or quality of life to dialysis.
